I would like to put floor mats on the driver side and maybe the passenger side. I can't seem to find a listing for any for the F-53 chassis. Any help would be appreciated. I was thinking of cutting a template and going and buying a desk chair mat and cutting it to fit. What have you done to keep the ware & tear down on the carpet at the pilot and co-pilot seats? Jim

Floor mats (if available) would have to be custom and come from the coach manufacturer. Ford shipped the F53 chassis "stripped". The coach bulder (Newmar in your case) installs the dash and center console, carpeting and seats all which affect the finished floor area.

Your template suggestion is probably your best bet and a darn good idea!

As far as I know Newmar never supplied floor mats for the gas coach's.
I have always bought a small rug to match the decor of interior of coach in drivers area.
Wife takes off shoes because she likes soft rug under feet.

My coach was delivered with floor mats made from pieces of the original carpeting and they work out well.

I just had new carpet installed in 2000dsdp. I didn't like the constant need to adjust throw rug at the top of the stairs where we leave our shoes and wanted to try to prevent the 5 dents in the carpet from the slide rollers so I got a couple of those plastic mats that go under your desk chair with the spikes that stick into the carpet to prevent them from sliding.
I made a templet for the top of the stair area and infront of the console and cut the mat. Room for several pairs of shoes and the wife has carpet for her feet and me also while driving.
I cut 5 pieces 13"x15" for the slide rollers. they held their position while the slide came in and I will see if they are heavy duty enough to prevent the indentations. If it works I need to devise a simple method of placing them down without stopping it mid way and getting on hands and knees to see corect location

I like the shoe idea and also the slide roller idea I hate the flat carpet spots from the slide rollers. Great ideas I'll have to give it a try. Thanks to all..........Jim
