Pretty much true of any DP. Some even come wirh an OTR condenser specifically for the bedroom. Mine has it but have never felt the need to turn it on.

I wonder if the most efficient way to deal with this problem (in any DP) is to put a 12 volt automotive radiator fan in the engine compartment to ventilate that area after shutdown. The thermal mass associated with the engine, transmission and after treatment cannister is very large and sitting in relatively stagnant air. A thermostatically controlled fan coming on when engine shuts down would cool that mass to ambient temperature much faster.
A fan like this might work in the back of the engine with a hookup to 12 volt light circuit in the back. When you shut down the engine just switch on the fan to cool down the engine compartment and relieve the thermal load on the bedroom above.

It's not ducted that way from what I can tell. When I run only the bedroom A/C, virtually no air is coming out in either of the living room registers or the bathroom.

There may be differences between New Aire 3341 and 3343. On my 3341, I would say 20%+ of the Air flow(not scientific measured) goes to middle overhead grate. The “bedroom” or second ac is actually located over kitchen. (between middle grate and bedroom grate. I can force all Air towards bedroom by blocking second grate appropriately. I do not know if that affects total quantity of Air. I will spend more time on this shortly as it is beginning to warm up at night here.

I’ve been racking my brains figuring something was wrong with the bedroom A/C.
The draw when both units are running is 35+- amps. The amount of cool air directed to the bedroom seems to be coming from the vent next to the bath (3341).
which provides a trickle to the bedroom. Find it hard to believe that Newmar didn’t calculate correctly the A/C demand. The grate in the bedroom, which I thought was the rear A/C unit is for what? N.A is in the shop for minor work so I can’t pull the ceiling cover?

I also have a 3341. The Bedroom AC is locate approx over kitchen between kitchen overhead grate and bathroom doorway. Airflow is to Bedroom grate and front grates. Air flow likes path of least resistance. The path to Bedroom makes a turn up and then turn towards back of unit to rise above the barrel/vaulted ceiling in bedroom. The front grate path is straight. Scoped the paths yesterday at dealer. Not sure of long term solution, but Bedroom AC air flow can be directed to Bedroom by putting towel in center grate on BR side. It does increase BR flow.

On our 3343 the air flow seems to be the same, to all vents in both living area and bedroom, regardless of which unit is running. Running both simply increases the air flow to both areas.
I expected the front unit to provide more air to the front and the rear unit to provide more air to the rear. Now that I'm familiar with it, I'm satisfied. When we only use one, the choice based on where we are and the associated noise level.

OK. Since I am using the app, we r in a 3341. We r fulltimers. We sold everything we had and hiked 1300 miles on the AT last year. We r 5k lbs below max weight with our full load and toad. All is well. Although, decades as a paratrooper may have skewed my perspective. This may not be inexpensive, but it certainly is doable as fulltimers. Let u know whether our 40+ yr marriage goes after a year. Cheers.

Perhaps the quickest and low tech way to cool the engine compartment after a long days drive on a hot day would be to open the ‘hood’ and let the heat escape.
