I'm 6'2" and the wife is 5'6" and when we placed 3" of books on top of the lid of our home stool which measures 16 1/2" (the seat only measures 15 3/4") it was very comfortably to stand up from that height. If the seat of the stools used by Newmar is 17-17 1/2" off the floor then probably the 2" riser they use will be sufficient. Unfortunately the comfort while sitting is not as important as being able to stand up without having a cabinet or counter top to hang onto.
