O.k. guys, this is your newest prospective "N" owner and I want beefs and bouquets.

Going from an older gas. Any advice is appreciated. Don't hold back.

gordon, your not giving us to much to go on as to model of coach ,# of slides, wood floor, etc, etc. I would get as much info as possible from previous owner if possible.
Should check roof for starters, look inside for stains on ceiling an inside cabinets. Check sealents around outside of coach. See if slides shut tight an stright into recess seals of coach and locking bars work properly. You should have a bar supplied to do this.
If there a maintinance records good thing, front engine maybe noisey but kits to cut down noise availible. Should give good miles.
Wear and tear should be minor if kept up by previous owner.
Check for seals around furnace and refer outside wall, I had coach with a leak at this point caused slite buckling of wood floor, that dealer never found cause. You can get work done at Newmar repair center if need be at a cut rate JAN-MARCH. Have owned three Newmars you can't go wrong if coach has been taken of. May come up with more if you post info. "007"

gordon23, I presume you are trying to get an opinion on the Newmar diesel puller. Well 2000 was I believe the last of the D. Pullers for them. The engine was a Cummiins 210 H.P with a 4 speed Allison. Top speed on flat highway was about 65 MPH. The engine is not near as quiet as the newer pilot injection engines. Though people argue that the HP can be modified I have serious doubts that the multi piece drive shaft and driveline will handle any more. It has envyable fuel milage of 10 to 12 MPG. Some people love them some hate them.

Get the unit out on a long drive with a toad if possible big hills would be great mountains would be a bonus. You will quickly know if the unit is for you.
