2001 Dutch Star DP PICTURES OF FRONT UNDER CARRIAGE

Is there anyone on this board that has a 2001 dsdp and lives within a 100 miles of Wichita? I need to take a look at one as I'm making repairs on mine. ...

David

David, if you post your query-- perhaps with a picture-- I'll bet there's someone who's been there before you and can explain. Also, there's a member here who can post a link to pictures of darn near every aspect of these coaches. Give it a shot.

On the other hand, if you really need to put eyes on, just wait-- someone may be there.

I just need too many, especially from underneath. I'll find one eventually.

Dave if it has something to do with front end suspension or other problems give us a try and some of us can help you to decide what you need to do to resolve the problem.
Thats what we are here to help for.

Apparently a previous owner tried mowing tree stumps with it. The complete subassembly that the steps and the generator drawer mount to have not been repaired properly. I have some cad drawings supplied from Spartan but I could use more measurements, photos, and a good lookover of an undamaged coach. This weekend I plan on removing the generator and the drawer then cutting out some if the damaged structure

Oh, it's a Spartan with a Cummins 350. I got all the parts today to finish the air brake system, then I start on the front. The system is over pressurizing

Dave needs pictures of under carriage so he can repair his damaged DSDP.

Well, I might be able to get some BUT we have an '02 with Power Tech generator and the front axle has been replaced with a 14,600# axle which also included a new steering box. Then we replaced the stock wheels with Alcoa's and went to bigger tires so we're not a good "fit" to follow.

I've got an '02, but its a Freightliner. I don't think it would be much help.

When I spoke with a Newmar they indicated that the step support assembly is the same on both chassis. They probably have a slight difference on the frame location. I have the 12,500 axle with Alcoa wheels. All that being said, I could use all the photos you guys can supply.

Thanks!
David
