2001 Dutch Star Wipers

I have had the motor replaced and the wipers are working but not sure if there fine. I had a problem 2 yrs. ago while traveling home from western Pa. they where dragging and stopping then would start again until they stopped and never returned. I had to drive 6 hrs. home with only a windshield coated with Rainx, not fun. I'm looking to here if your wiper seem to drag and strain as they move across the windshield. They always worry me since the motor went last time. Is this normal!!!

The wire connector for motor that connects to wiring harness plug if water got in the plugs wipers would do all kinds of crazy things.
It was necessary to unplug and dry out with hair dryer than apply di-electric grease on connections in plugs to help keep out moisture.
If you can tie plugs up as high as you can to keep away from upper hood opening.
You can also put rubber bulb weather strip across the hood opening.
Check out picture.

Wiring is up pretty high I don't think that is the problem it just seems to be a weak system not having the power to push those big wipers over that big windshield. They have a delay as they change direction, they seem to almost stop at the far outside edge of the window. VERY JERKY!!!

Make sure you have a good ground and battery supply to motor, run another ground if necessary.
Check the wiper linkage so there free and not binding when extending or folding.

Mine work just fine when I'm out of Texas. Here they just push dust off to the side.
