2002 Dutch Star Owners Manual

Hello all - my name is Glenn and my wife, Angie, and Airedale Terrier live in Brownsburg, IN, just northwest of Indianapolis, IN.

We have crossed off another item on our bucket list, owning and traveling in a motorhome. We found a 2002 Dutch Star, Model 3852. This is our first and we thought this coach was perfect for us and it only has 12K on the odometer - it is clean and spent most of it's life waiting - too bad!

We have done our due diligence and looked at many models of motorhome, and settled on a Class A over a Class C. we love the space and extra amenities the Class A allows.

Looking and sitting in many coaches, one thing was generally constant, each had the OWNERS MANUAL and some had maintenance records. Of course the coach we fell in love with has nothing!!

I have seached the internet and Newmar sites for the Owners Manual for our coach and have come up dry - heck - I even found the 2002 new coach brochure!!

I would really love to have the manuals as I am one who reads them and I can't possibly remember all the items the dealer went over when we purchased the coach this past week.

Can anyone direct me to a place I can order or download one?

Thanks in advance for all your help and I am sure I will see you down the hi way.

Glenn

The link above is correct! Good info to get out there.
Frankly the manual is pretty generic, it's the OEM manuals for the equipment that you really want.
The actual manual also had a VCR tape. I don't think I ever looked at it.

Actually, I just want something to reference - a motor home is a "home" unto itself with lots of "stuff" an owner needs to know and I hope eventually will just be part of the routine, second nature. I believe I have the fresh water, grey water, and black water down - the electrical end is still up in the air...........I know practice makes perfect.

Again, thanks!

Thanks Mr D & 007.

I will seek out the OEM manuals but the Owners Guide is just what the doctor ordered for today for when I take delivery on Saturday I can at least keep up with the dealer as he explains things.

And 007 - what a great idea..............links - reading some of the electric links as I write..

Hi Glenn. Welcome to the Forum and congrats on the DS!

You should be able to find some of your systems/appliances manuals here:
Service Documents and Manuals

Best of luck and enjoy the "new" motorhome.
