2004 KSDP3904 AC System
I'm having a problem understanding the AC system in my 'new to me' DP.
With three camping trips under our belt, all AC receptacles worked as intended when connected to shore power.
However, when the DP is parked in storage, and shore power not available, the generator only powers one AC receptacle, just below the glove box, at the passenger's feet.
All other AC receptacles, including the two GFCI receptacles are at 0 VAC. Do those AC receptacles only provide service with shore power?
I haven't looked under the bed as the slider cannot be opened while in storage but I do see breakers in the bedroom, passenger side, overhead cabinet and all seem to be ON.
Am I missing something?

Your generator is probably set up to power only some of the AC circuits in your coach while ronning.

Hello Rick, take a look at the breaker on the genset by the hour meter, switch it off then back on.........
The outlet under the dash is a "Inverted outlet" and power to it goes through the inverter, and if no shore power or the genset running, it gets its 120AC from the inverter.
If resetting the breaker on the genset does not work, then you will have to take a meter, and with the genset running, open up the transfer switch and check for power from the genset to the contactor in the transfer switch.
I am betting the reset of the breaker on the genset it self, will bring your power back.

Good explanation palehorse, will take a look this afternoon.

Going to assume that your is close to mine and Newmar places them in the same place on most, on drivers side rear electrical compartment, mounted on the rear wall..........
You can see mine behind the coiled shore power cord on the rear wall.
Was the breaker on the genset OK? Did you reset it?

Just a heads up - Our 08 Dutch star ran into A/c trouble last year and the whole problem was dirty thermostat connections at the A/c on the roof. Found out that the system is run with "phone" type wire from A/c to A/c and down to the thermostat. AND the thermostat is powered from the roof A/c so if your Thermostat starts acting dim or wonky check out those connections and be sure they are clean. hope this helps. mark

The OP is not having problems with his air conditioning units, he has no AC power to his Coach when his genset is running...........wondering if it will power up on shore power though???? If it does, the contactor for the genset is not picking up...........in the transfer switch.

Hopefully you do not have a problem, I would start the genset up, load it up, and run it for a bit to make sure everything is OK.......
