I just purchased a 2005 Newmar Scottsdale 3671 and am extremely happy with it after our first week long camping trip (compared to previous travel trailer). I noticed my radio reception was horrible during our trip and after further inspection on the roof, it appears that a radio antenna has been broken off. There currently is a white radio antenna on the roof on the drivers side, but there looks like a broken antenna base on the passenger side as well. My question is: Are there supposed to be two radio antennas on the roof? If so, any idea about how to buy a new one and some directions on replacing it. I took the Sony radio apart on the dash to confirm that the antenna was plugged in, and it was. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks

I have found the black flexible antenna replacments at Minne, Moe and Jacks for around $5-6. Take your base piece loose, (it is on an adjustable swivel) and take it with you to get the right screw in replacement, there are several versions with different thread arrangements. (don't expect them to last long, they don't).

The drivers side is a cb antenna. The radio is on the passenger side. Actually I should say that is the way mine is set up. Both are junk. I had the radio antenna replaced at an automobile audio store. It fit in the original base and is much more flexible/durable than the stock antenna and works better.

Thank you so much for your repsonses. Hopefully these pictures will help in seeing my issue.
Here is a picture of the non-broken antenna on the driver's side:
Here is a picture of the broken antenna (what's left anyways) on the passanger's side
I'm thinking I can't replace the radio antenna with the CB antenna since I don't have a CB probably due to frequency issues or something. Would this be correct thinking? Can I just buy a regular auto radio antenna to replace this with? Is there any special tricks or connections under the broken antenna when I replace it? What is a good sealent to use after putting a new antenna on? Thanks again for your responses. I love this site. I used it alot for several months before buying this unit. Thanks again.

My next question to fellow newmar owners, what would be the best roof sealeant to use when I change out these antennas?
Again, thanks for your responses, as you definitly have led me in the right direction.

I would just remove the top mounting you see in circle with three screws.
You should be able to get cable for new attachment than use a self leveling sealant to seal everything up as the old sealant shows in your picture.
