My dealer in Alberta is Woody's RV World in Red Deer. They are a large dealership with branches in Calgary & Edmonton.I am really concerned about the warning lights as dealer has not addressed these yet! Maybe it is time to travel south to Nappanee!! I do have the Spartan chassis. I wish I could fix some of the stuff myself but am not very mechanically inclined which is why I bought the Essex! thinking I wouldnt have problems. colleen.

Colleen, I'm hoping some our Canadian contingent will weigh in with some thoughts about your dealer....Peter (LugNut) is very knowledgeable in this regard and I would expect would be one that could offer some basis....

Of course you WILL be treated like royalty in Nappanee...I'll be there starting June 4th for some work on the LADB.

Hi Colleen, The Essex is a complex unit, difficult for any dealer to properly handle if many issues exist. This is especially difficult in Canada as there are so few of these high lines here. Some U.S. members have had many issues too, many as they were not properly addressed at time of delivery and even though they had top dealer service still went to Newmar in Napanee.
The Essex, as all Newmar High line, have a dedicated service building with tech's that will do in one day what most dealer would have problems completing in a week or more. You make an appointment, stay with your coach while it is corrected, perhaps 2 or 3 days and you're done. I would highly advise it. Additionally you will learn alot about how it works and how to perhaps make an adjustment on some piece.
If and when you go, please post it and tell us how you are making out.
Call Newmar and ask for Carl Snyder. He may ask you to e-mail your request for appointment. List those items of concern and don't worry if a new one crops up in the meantime. They will still address it when you are their.

Peter

High line service....1-866-463-9627

Carl or Jeff will field your call...

As I've mentioned to you in a PM, I would HIGHLY recommend a visit to Nappanee, WHENEVER you can get in...As Peter mentions, you will not only get top notch service, you will LEARN more about your coach as well.

It has been more than a month since you spoke with Jeff, and I wonder what progress has been made to help you.
I, too, have an '06, and have spent a lot of time "looking for service in all the right places".

Hi There! Sorry it's taken so long. After long discussions between our dealer & the Newmar techs We finally got to bring the coach home! For the first week everything seemed to work well but then the Hydro Hot quit again & the zone four furnace developed the same initial problem. Either it won't run or if it does start then it does'nt shut off. Also one jack still does'nt extend completely. Plus still many minor things not fixed yet. On a good note HydroHot sent two tech's from Colorado & they had it fixed in about an hour!! My hats off to them! So to make a long story short I to am still "looking for service in allthe right places" Another call to Jeff is in order. Colleen.
