Check with Rebelsbeach - he had the same sort of problems with his essex - he finally traded it after living at the factory for a couple months.

You have come to the right place for good information and you have recieved some already. Hope you get things straightened out and you can use your Essex to have a lot of fun in. Good luck and stay safe.

I found this post elsewhere in the forums and have moved it here for better coverage.

I've also PM'd the member and asked them to post a clarification, given the Essex is not available in a 40 foot model.

My issues were mostly Spartan cooling issues and I'm certainly glad I didn't "really" spend months at the factory...

Welcome to the forum, Leavitt. Sorry to hear of your issues. Which dealer has your MH been at for the long repeat service? Also which model Essex is it and what are some of the major issues you have had.

Welcome leavitt to the Newmar forum and irv2.
You have come to the right place to put out your problems some good people here to give you the answers to some of your problems.
Please give a list as best you can.
If you have a good Dealer and willing to help you, some or all the problems should be resolved, if not you may have to go to factory.
Enjoy the forum and all the forums on irv2.

leavitt, I think you will find there are folks here that have endured many of your very same issues and as such I think you'd find it beneficial to share some specifics as to your issues.
I would think that given your apparent issues with a dealer that you might consider taking the coach directly to Nappanee to have your issues addressed.

I've been to Nappanee several times and received nothing but wonderful service and attention each time I've been there.

I think we all support taking a proactive approach to possibly helping you get your problems solved and having said that, we would like to hear more.

Leavitt, You did not mention who the dealer was, this is not to slam them but understand if the dealer capabilities are present. Any coach that was 75% at the dealer over a year is a problem with coach or dealer. To often the coach gets the blame as it is what was broken.
Many owners, even with good dealer support, have choose to make an appointment with the factory, made the trip and addressed all the issues once and for all. This in many ways has been a blessing to the dealer as they may not be equipped to address such a great number of issues or needed adjustments.

I had many issues with my coach back in 03 dealer would fix something or say they ordered from Newmar and it wasn't so. I fix most of the problems myself thru help from people here and info from Newmar factory. What I could not take care of floor tiles, jacks, AC's Newmar took care of with a visit to them. Your check engine light could be problems with cooling on your chassis Spartan or FL.
You do live a ways from factory, Alberta, but a call to Newmar Repair Center to get them on record and to explain your problems and no satisfaction from present dealer they may have one that can take care of your problems. You should have a chassis repair center just for your chassis problems not Newmar coach dealer.

His coach would be on a Spartan K-2 chassis.
