My 2006 MADP 4304 with 8400 miles is getting a strange wear pattern on all four of the duals. All other tires are ok. On every tread other than the inside and outside, there are high and low spots all the way around the tire. I called Spartan and was told they hadn't heard of this before. They suggested I drop it off at a shop in Baltimore today. I did -- just wondering if any of you had heard of this.

Sounds to me like you are not running enough air pressure for the weight on your rear duals. If the air pressure is too low it wears the outer treads of each tire, and if the pressure is too high, it wears the center tread of each tire. Be sure you are running the right pressure for your current rear weight.

Let us know what the service center determines your problem to be.
Good luck - Glenn

Send a message via AIM to Oemtech
The wrong air pressure and "wheels out of balance" will produce tire cupping.

Go to a Michelin Truck tire dealer. Most of my tires were initially mismounted and not balanced. Two of the tires were replaced under warranty. Spartan buys the tires and wheels mounted. Expect to see scuffing on the outside edge of the tag axle tires. Remember to dump the tag air on tight turns.
