2006 Newmar Kountry Star Rear Fuse Box Location
Rear plug on RV lost the brake light power and the trailer power pins. They tell me there is a rear fuse box for there but I cannot find it. Any clues?

Welcome to iRV2!
Look in the outside bays around the rear wheels. It could be on either side and perhaps covered by a plastic shield if in the power bay.

Welcome to the forum & irv2.
Its in a compartment near the rear duels and the compartment fabric pulls off Velcro and fuses and also your Bird System is in there.
Look in this link will show your fuse and wiring locations.
Here is a Brochure and Owners Guide for you.
In my signature are QT's links 1 & 2 and # 3 which will have much more info for your Newmar.
Enjoy the forums.

Thanks for the help but I can't find the tow plug location on the list you referred me to for a diesel pusher. I have searched everywhere back there. Found the relays tie wrapped to the harness but no fuse box.

Lstell page 21 of this link is the location we are talking about, you have a cloth flap with Velcro that peals back showing the fuses and the Bird System relay.

On my KSDP there is a fuse/relay box in the compartment behind the rear wheel on the passenger side. It is a black box and the cover which snaps off has a fuse diagram printed on it. This is where the towed vehicle fuses are located.
Have a nice day - Darrel

I found that box and it had two fuses blown. One marked ECM IGN and the other marked SPARE IGN. Both were 5 amp.
I still do not have power to the tow unit unless I run power straight to the relays.
Thanks for the help.

If you are still stumped on Monday, consider calling Newmar Customer Service. I sounds to me like the problem may be related to the relay power. Just a guess.

Have you open the plug and checked the wiring connections in it the wires can come loose and disconnect from road vibration.

I have checked the plug. I have run hot wires to the relays under the RV and everything works fine. I just can't find what normally would power those relays.
Thanks for the help though.

I finally checked the Spartan wiring diagram.
On pg95 the Bussman box shows 7.5Amp fuses for the towed vehicle turn/brake wiring.
Left turn/brake - - F18
Right turn/brake - F4
Hope this helps - Darrel
