Does anyone else with a Ventana have the problem I have in getting the generator door open? I can pull and pull on the ill-placed pull and might get the top latch open, or the bottom latch open, but seldom both. That sort of stops one from checking the fluid levels as we should. Can any misalignment or "tweaking" correct this? Is there an "after market" change that can be done?

Spent two days adjusting mine to get it to work on one pull. Still tough though. Sorry, can't remember which adjustment made the most improvement but it did improve.

Newmar lubricated the assembly on my rig and it works much better.

I had the same problem on my 08 Ventana, dealer lubricated the pull handle & cable assembly to no avail, told the dealer it seemed as if I had to pull the coach on its side before it would release both latches. Handle pulled easier but upper part of door did not pop away from the latching mechanism like the lower did so still had to wiggle and giggle until upper part of access door cleared cap flange. They also ordered the little spring assembly that is identical to the one that is mounted next to the lower latch assembly on Newmars dime. Installed it, now when you pull the T-Handle in fuse/relay bay the top and the bottom of the access door pop forward enough to clear the cap and the door is easy to swing up and lock in place for access to the Generator. If you look closely next to the upper latch assembly there is the mounting tab, identical to the lower spring assembly mounting tab, already installed on the cap, this allows for easy installation of the spring assembly. My service consultant assumed the upper spring assembly was omitted in error during build by the factory therefore covered on warranty, factory did not object so I am a happy camper. If you are out of warranty spring and mounting assembly can't be more than a $25 part, if you have the tab to mount this assembly to already there, I would highly recommend ordering the parts from your dealer and doing the install yourself. Will save a lot of aggravation trying to work the upper part of your access away from the cap flange.

Hope this helps!
