Hi all,

Been a very long time since I've posted. Hoping you guys can help. DH and I are looking to move from our 2000 Alpenlite Spyglass fifth wheel to a 2007 Bay Star mod. 3201. We looked at it yesterday and really loved all the features, etc. When we sat down with the dealer/owner, he offered us only $10,000 off MSRP. The other trade in #'s looked OK to us but we were thinking we'd get more off the MSRP than that since it is a "last year's model" that I'm sure he'd love to move off the lot to make room for a 2008.

Anyone have any ideas on how much off MSRP we should hope to get him down to?

Also, please tell us any thoughts you have on the Bay Star? Any insights? And how are we liking working with Newmar when it comes to repairs and the like? Do they stand well behind the products?

We are thinking we'll be buying this if we can get the numbers right!

Thanks so much for any help you can offer us as we take this step!

We purchased a new 2005 Newmar Kountry Star and have had a few small problems with it and have had nothing bad to say about their service or Workhorse either. They have a quality coach that they back up with service. This is our 3rd Newmar product...no complaints from any of the units. Have also had Gulfstream and Holiday Rambler so we aren't new to this...

You should be able to do allot better. I just bought a 2007 Baystar 3202 and got 23-25 G's off sticker. Check North Trail on the internet and see what they have. They still might have a 3201. PS it is now almost 2 years old. It is costing them money to have it on their lot so stick to your guns and make a really low offer and start the negotiating in your neighborhood and not theirs. Remember that Newmar may also give a spiff to the dealer to get rid of it.
