I have a new (to me) 2007 MADP. I cannot find the keyless entry programming switch....does anyone know where it is? Also, I have the Visteon in-dash radio and want to get the Sirius Radio working. When I hit buttons 1 & 6, I get the message "getting ESN" and it stops there. It is my understanding that everything is installed for Sirius Radio and all I have to do is pay for the subscription. Any ideas?

In my 2008, the button is on the steering column -- look low down.
Mine has the buttons on the lighted exterior handle. I don't know if it is the same in 2007.

My keyless entry appears to be the Essex type and I was told by the dealership that the programming switch is inside that area where the switches are mounted by the passenger seat. I've looked in there and don't see any switch.

Ours is a little button all by itself on the back side of the arm console by the passenger chair. You will miss it if you don't know where it is. Yours may be located differently as I've heard of other spots that people have mentioned.

donnab has it for her DSDP and my EX too. It is a VERY TINY little dot of a push button switch, super easily overlooked. It'll probably be somewhere on the inside paneling on the DS aft of the door itself in a not too accessible location (to avoid accidental hitting of it). It has been known to be inside that paneling, but I think that was well prior to 2007.

The switch on my 2007 MADP is at the very back of the passenger side arm rest. It is somewhat hidden by the window valence. Run your finger around the top edge in back and you should feel the button.

If none of the above works, mine is inside the passenger window panel (where the controls are). I had the Newmar tech run a short line, with a control button, to stick out the top of that arm panel.

Thanks for all the tips. I spoke to Newmar today and was advised that the Keyless Entry programming switch is a rocker switch, just like what is mounted on the panel beside the passenger seat, but it is hanging loose inside that panel area. To access, remove the cup holder and just fish around inside. I will try this again tonight.
Regarding the Sirius Radio, the coach does not come with the tuner and antenna.....this must be added after the fact. Has anyone done this?

LAbergo - mine is a black-capped push switch. It is located on the passenger armrest at the far back/top - completely hidden by the valance. Run your fingers around in that area & you'll find it.

Found it.....the push button switch as you indicated Mark. Pushed the button, got the 4 beeps.....but the keyless entry switch pad is unresponsive. Tried it several times. Looks like it needs to be replaced. I've read that prior to 2009, they had some problems with the switch pad itself. If I replace it, can I expect reliable performance going forward?

I've never used the one on our '07 DSDP 4307. Too many posts about problems. It just is not that annoying to me to use a key (or both keys if I feel the need). It would be really annoying to not be able to get in.

Larry - We went through 2 of the external touchpads. Finally I called the manufacturer, Essex(as it was now out of warranty) and they sent me an updated pad. Much larger numbers and it appears to be better weatherproofed, which seems to have been the problem.
Found this on another thread. It may provide all you need.

This is just an FYI for any of you with the keyless entry (ours model was KE-1601) who have had problems with the keypad quitting. Our original one quit working after 1 1/2 years. Went by Newmar who said just have to buy a new keypad ($360) which we did & installed. Well now 1 1/2 years later, that one has also quit. I sent an email to Essex Electronics (keyless.com) who makes these explaining the 2nd had now failed and at the price of the item, a year & a half seemed a might short life and asked for a better solution.
They advised they had had some issues but had "discovered the error of their ways" in November 2009. They have changed their method of assembly and one of the adhesives inside the unit. There is a new model, the AKE-5RH. They sent us a new keypad under warranty and the new unit is warranted for 3 years. Don did the replacement to ours yesterday and it was in general plug & play and the new one works much better than either of the originals did.
So just FYI if you are having issues. I'm hopeful this is the permanent solution.

Hope this helps.
Mark
