2007 Mountain Aire: Aqua Hot 450-D Blowing Black Smoke

Hi,
When the Aqua Hot runs it blows thick black smoke. I am concerned there is the wrong mixture of air and fuel and that I am taxing the system. Please advise.

Background:

I purchased my Newmar in August, love it and have now driven across the US. When I purchased it the Aqua Hot had been "Serviced" before I picked it up. It creates hot water, when I use the furnace it works fine and the lights register in the zones and no issues! I also added more diluted Boiler Antifreeze a few days ago and have studied the forums.

My oasis started blowing black smoke it was caused by exhaust pipe partially plugged with dirt dobber nest.

Pulled the extension and exhaust pipe and.... debris was blocking. Cleaned debris out with a snake and a wire brush, solved the issue. Water heating and now is a simple clean exhaust. Thanks for the “dirt dobber tip” I owe you a pint as you saved me a trip to Grand Junction for the closest aqua hot service (4+ hrs)

Your welcome. I put a fine wire screen over exhaust and secured with a hose clamp. I also put screen over generator exhaust just in case one of those pesky dirt dobbers tried to move in.
