Hi All,

Looking for any insight. We had previously decided that we wanted a diesel pusher, but we've just seen this motor home and we really like it.

Some of the specs:

Chevy Workhorse Chassis
22,000 GVWR
340Hp Chevy 8.1 Vortec
6 Speed Allison transmission with Grade Brake
22.5" Tires
6,874 km's

With the low kms it seems like almost new...and the inside is very well kept.

Does anyone have one...or have any knowledge of this particular brand?

We've been told that Newmar is one of the best brands to buy...

It's 36'...so we're wondering if it will have enough power to get us through the mountains.

Any help greatly appreciated...need to make a quick decision.

Thanks
Barbara

Welcome to the forum AloraDanin.
Do not have year or model you are looking at but do have the chassis which rides like a dream and the power of 8.1 and Allison couldn't ask for more.
If you look at the weight tables of model your looking at says its a 24000 chassis not 22,000 which would have a heavier braking system and would not need the brake recall that the 22,000 chassis has.
You need to look at the silver sticker on wall next to drivers seat which will tell you this weight information.
I have done some mods to mine that you may not find necessary and there maybe some on the coach your looking at already.
Here is a brochure of KS and a Owners Guide for info on weight limits, tank sizes and other questions you may have.
The gas coach will have less maintenance problems which you maybe able to do yourself.
You can look in Quick Tips and see some of the mods I have done.

Great choice , We had 4 Workhorses, 2005-2007, 3 Windsports and a Newmar 3705 Kountrystar. The 8.1 Chev is a proven performer when coupled with the Allison 6 speed. I much preferred the gasser grade brake to my DP's exhaust brake. I could set the speed with the grade brake and it would hold. We took a couple long trips with the KountryStar pulling an enclosed cargo trailer with the Jeep, Mtn bikes and other assorted toys inside. The 8.1 did a great job. Although just pulling the jeep was a lot easier. Quality wise I am firmly committed to Newmar. While all brands have tier issues it seeems Newmars have fewer and the basic design is simply better. Good luck and safe travels.

And some of us run websites specifically for Newmar owners, although mine is for DP owners.
