I have recieved many helpful comments about diesel power plants, but would like to ask a more specific question about 2008 Newmar Ventana 39' coaches. Specifically, I am looking for comments from anyone who owns a 2008 Ventana 39' coach concerning how well the coach merges onto highways and how well it maintains sped going up sustained highway grades.

I realize I have been pursuing input on this subject via a number of posts, so appreciate your indulgence.

Thanks,

Don

I have a 2009 39' Ventana, but here's my 1 cent (my opinion isn't worth 2 cents).

This is my first MH, so I can't compare it to others.

I haven't had any problems merging. Most people see the beast coming, and make room. Oddly, many people ignore the beast when I'm in the right lane and they need to merge.

The cruise control seems to do a better job of maintaining speed on grades, but it's not like any car I've driven. It will lose some speed on grades and can take some time to recover. It's not horrible, just 5 mph or so.

I have a completely different frame of mind when driving the MH. I don't worry about speed. I'm OK with staying to the right.

69RoadRunner,

Thanks for your feedback, but I am looking for experience with 2008 Ventanas since the 08s have a smaller engine than your coach.
