I just picked up my new All-Star 4159. I need to get to the connections to the Samsung LCD Front TV, and I can't seem to get behind the TV. Any suggestions?

Welcome to the forum!

I have a 2009 Ventana. I haven't had to get to the back of the front TV yet, but I am curios, too.

Hi Rollins,
There is no easy way to get to the back of the TV. As previously posted, give Newmar tech support 800-731-8300. Ask them what they recommend. You may need to provide your coach number.

The bottom line is you'll need to take the TV out or be able to remove the back (the side toward the windshield) of the compartment the TV is in.

Newmar can best explain the process.

If yours is like my 08 Kountry Star, there are two wooden grills behind the TV that can be pryed off. The wooden grills are attached by the factory using silicone and can be taken off by slipping a razor blade underneath the outer frame, cutting the silicone and gently prying. They then can be re-attached using silicone. On mine, there was silicone on the top and bottom frames only. Good luck.

I pried mine off (wood vent on rear of TV box) this past weekend. What a mess! LOTS of clear silicone and a couple of "unwanted" air gun staples that would not let go....

Mine came off in two pieces and the bottom piece is still attached with those two darn staples that must be 2" in length.

Now that I have the rear open.....there is a shelf/support right in the middle of the box that hinders getting to the rear of the TV/mount.

AND.....it look liks the late 2005 Sony Bravia LCD flat screen (NOT HD or DIGITAL) is mounted to a steel bar that muct have at least 12 screws in the back of the TV.

I am working on finding a very small, well-versed with a screw driver, friend who would like to drop by and have a go at removing the screws......and not crack the dash while doing it.

Good luck -

Someone once said, "They sure don't build 'em to be worked on!"

Thanks - Bill

Yeah, this doesn't make sense. Why wouldn't they just have a cover that can be removed by just unscrewing some screws?

You can't see the back of the cabinet without contorting yourself, so it's not an important appearance factor.

Quicker to assemble the coach save money, why they have to be so long beats me.
