About to order the Kountry Star 3943. Had a dealer tell me the 2009 models are usually announced in February or early March. Is this true? Has anyone heard of any major changes or floorplan layouts for the 2009 Models? Other than a price increase?

Thanks in advance!

You may see 2009's at shows this winter but their web site didn't change from 2007 to 2008 models until end of May 1st of June 2008.

Your dealer is correct.

The 2008's were first displayed mid March at the FMCA convention.

It won't be much longer.

So would one be wise to wait for the 2009 products to be announced before ordering since it is so close around the corner? I know prices might increase, but there also could be some more standards included that are options today or other offerings.

The dealer told me that once they announce the 2009, they pretty much start ordering for those right away and phase out to the 2008 models for ordering.

My guess would be that if you want Comfort Drive you'll need to pick up an '08....

Bob, Are you saying CD will not be on some '09 models?

What I am saying is that Newmar's original "exclusive" agreement was for '07 and '08.

As I've not had the need to be in Nappanee over the winter I'm not privy to anything different.
I guess if we'd have thought about it we could've asked you to find out when in Nappafreeze recently...

I guess I just assumed CD was staying forever with Newmar, and I would think it will. But, it would have been a good idea to check out the gossip in Napanfreeze, a real nICE idea. It certainly would have been snow harm in it.

I'd bet that won't be the case.... With the success of TRW's new baby and the time they've now had to ramp up production, my guess would be they'll be shopping it around the RV industry for some bigger bucks in return.

Remember.... Newmar got CD because Spartan had it.... Newmar was NOT the customer.

That is great news...I guess it will be a standard as it was on 2009? Anyone here of anything new being added as standard in 09?

Some of the Newmar brass will be here at the NKK Tampa Rally for a 9AM chit chat tomorrow.

I'll try to post the highlights.

I can't imagine Comfort Drive going away.
