For the last year I have followed a lot of different threads about getting 30% + off on a new coach with no trade, just cash only..Now I am ready to order, have the cash, and ready to lay down the deposit. My problem is if I talk to a dealer rep, (They are all geared to a mind set of 24 -25% off only). If I say make it 30%off and I will write you a check. They all start this, " Sir, that would be below our cost." Am I off base here to think that in this time of our economic situation, No trade, have the cash, to expect 30% off of Newmar's True MSRP. Maybe I just need to talk to the right man. If anyone knows the right man , let me know...VACMAN

Call Nancy @ 520 955-1928, her company has been advertising 40% any new 08 or 09 Newmar motorhome.

Consider contacting "Diesel" Dan Cutting at 888-377-9955 or 877-753-6678 (North Trail RV, Ft. Myers, Florida) or 239-707-0209 (Dan's direct number). Mention my name (Gary Doolittle). I don't get anything for this reference. What my name does is cut through the BS you are now receiving. If Dan has what you want, I'd be surprised if his price was anything but the lowest.

FYI: Telling any sales rep you are willing to sign gets you nothing. Once you find what you want, tell the rep to wite the order with whatever price you are willing to pay. Provide a CC or check for the deposit (refundable if the dealership refuses the deal). Have the sales rep present the signed sales agreement with your deposit to management. This is sure to get you the best price.

I try to never work from MSRP back. I have always believed in negotiating how much over their cost I am willing to pay.

I paid $7500 over their cost which worked out to about 27% below MSRP.

With the tough economic times I bet Newmar may be willing to help out as well.

Good luck!

Just about impossible to work from cost unless you own the dealership-too many unknown variables as cost is not a published number. MSRP IS a published number and can be used to determine your best price(discount) from dealer to dealer.

About the only way you are going to get over 28% on an '09 is to find a coach that a dealer is in dire straits. On the other hand your best discount can be obtained even on an ordered coach built the way you want it!

about getting 30% + off on a new coach
Hi! It depends on which model. Which model are you looking for? Newmar has a different markup for each of it's product line. Paul

Well Paul It is a done deal. We flew out to Arizona from Indiana Sunday. Went to Quartzite Az on Monday. Lamesa Rv had purchased several new 2008 from dealer closings, overstock etc. Anyway it is a new 2008 Dutch Star Mod. 4354 Bath and 1/2 with a MSRP of $352.00, for a fantastic cash price of $211,280.00. I paid 1/2, and as soon as they fix a few things I wanted done, I will wire them the balance and they will deliver (for $1.00 per mile and plane ticket back) When I get the unit I am sure I will have a lot of questions about how to do this and that. So watch for my questions and help if you see fit...Now I can be in the NEWMAR club...Thanks all VACMAN

I'll be in Tucson for the Gem Show for 10 days, and will drop in and check it out on Monday. It looks like a beautiful, full wall slide unit, with some excellent features (besides the price)...good job!

Hi VACMAN,
Congrats on the DSDP. The floor plan you got is the one I like the most.
