2010 Canyon Star 3855

We really like this floorplan but know nothing of Newmar gas coaches. Does anyone have experiences or opinions of this model? Or late model Newmar gas coaches in general? Thanks

Last year we bought the Canyon Star 3647 which is the same basic coach but a little different floor plan......had to have the king bed for my height. The 3855 wasn't available yet when we ordered or we very well might have gone with that floor plan.

We have been very happy with the coach, had only one problem so far with a slide adjustment, and would highly recommend the line. We have the Ford F53 chassis (second coach I've had one in) and no complaints there either.

Newmar is a quality manufacturer and will go the extra mile to assure your satisfaction. I would strongly suggest a plant tour if you are anywhere near Nappanee Indiana, you can see for yourself how well made they are.

In the spring of 2010, we bought a 2007 Canyon Star 3410 than had not been well maintained. We did a complete fluid and filter change on the engine. But, we could not get the generator to stay operating. After checking all of those fluids, we drained and replaced the oil (twice) and filters on the generator (the oil had turned to molasses). It was an easy fix! Everything works like a charm now, and the motorhome travels fine through the British Columbia high mountain passes.

Most dealers order Canyon Stars on the Ford chassis, the Workhorse option would be more money.
The Fords are a very good chassis and will carry the coach without problems.
