Just picked up our brand new 2901 Bay Star. Fit and finish is great but I have one issue. The flat screen television mounted in the front rattles like heck unless the road is perfectly smooth. Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance.

I had the same problem with my Kountry Star when new. Go back to the dealer and tell them. My dealer had to fab some extra brackets for the back of the TV and install them since the single factory TV mount wasn't sufficient to prevent the flopping back and forth.

It might be better unless it's really bad to use the unit a few times first. Several items will pop up with each use as you work the bugs out during the initial year of warranty coverage.

Welcome Desertman to Newmar forum & irv2.
Dependant on how your LCD is mounted if you can pull out on mount see if you can place a rubber sleeve around mount to reduce vibration or rubber stops where the housing maybe rapping against cabinet wall.
Dealer should check it out your under warranty.
If you have a installation booklet for your TV see if they have mounting installation guide lines.

Desertman:

Hi from Tampa and welcome to iRV2.

Say,......can you pin point the location of that rattle?? We encountered same thing with our former 06 Mtn. Aire and finally discovered that the screws on the vented/louvered panel on the back of the T.V. cabinet were simply loose. Had wife tighten em while I was driving and....no more rattle. FWIW.

had the same problem with our 2010 Canyon Star. Picked it up and the first thing we noticed was the front TV rattling. Drove me crazy till I could get it back to the dealer. Not sure what they did, but that annoying rattle stopped. The only other irritant we had was the water heater mounted under the sink (encased in styrofoam) was too close to the sink drain. The squeaking from that styrofoam was mind numbing. Again the dealer fixed the problem. Bliss going down the road now.
