2014 DSDP repair Katy TX
I have a 2014 DSDP that the door and frame was improperly installed. Newmar has had me stop at 3 different dealers and none of them could do the repairs. Now they want me to go to Holiday World in Katy, TX as they think they can do the job. Has anyone had any experience with them doing bodywork, The door and frame has to be completely removed and reset.
It is getting a bit old.

Hello and welcome to the fourm, If it were me , with the level of the job that needs done to repair your new Coach, I would make the trip back to the factory and have them repair it there and take care of anything else that you have concerns about. They built it and need to see and understand where their mistake is, and if there is painting to do, it will be right. Sound like it might be quite a trip for you.......but it does not sound like things are going to well for you finding a dealer to make this repair.

My experience is from 2004 and to be fair their service may be excellent in 2014.
In former life I purchased a 5er from Holiday World and their service was worse than bad. They never made a proper repair under warranty and only caused more problems. They taught me a valuable lesson and that's to do all warranty repairs myself that are within my abilities.
Before my recent Newmar purchase, I used Holiday World only as a source to compare and test drive. Under no circumstance did I consider purchasing from Holiday World after 5er experience. If I need warranty repairs I will return to my dealer in Lewisville, TX.,(5 hr. drive), or go to factory. I live 40 miles from Holiday World.

What is wrong with the door and frame? My door has a reveal that is not perfect but does open and close with no problem. Just curious?

I have had work done in that specific Holiday World in Katy, and I will NEVER return there. In fact, I drive over 5 hours to dealerships to avoid them. Stay away from them! Far, far away....

I've never had any service there either, but there are plenty of pissed off reviews for them online. But then again, I've seen negative reviews over the dumbest stuff - sometime's even the RV's fault in the first place.
x3 to go to the factory themselves. Why not, they certainly know what they are doing.
You could also maybe try Bob Jones rv? Not sure if they could your warranty or not, but they are a good shop

I am surprised they are still a newmar dealer. They lied to me, and tried to sell a used Rv as a new one. I would run from them.
The only TX Newmar dealer that I have faith in is National Indoor RV. It is a bit of a drive for you but may be a good option before going to the factory.

I purchased my new coach from Holiday World Katy last year and am not impressed with their service department, their customer service and quality of work have been poor and I try to repair anything I can myself to avoid having to deal with them.
As it relates to your repair, my drivers side front window had a leak from the factory and had to be replaced. I couldn't make the trip to the factory to have this done so I reluctantly had Holiday World do the work. I contacted Newmar and let them know I had no confidence in having this window replaced with their dealer but they assured me that they would stand behind the work. It took months to get the new window but they managed to do a fairly decent job of installing it. Not a great job but acceptable, the window was installed correctly but the application of caulking was sloppy.
I would suggest you let Newmar know you haven't heard glowing reports about the work Holiday World does and make sure they have your back if you decide to have your repairs done there.

Ok, I am convinced. I now have an appointment at the factory next month.
Thanks for all of the input.
