2014 Dutch Star Exterior LED Lights?

Hello!

Does the 2014 Dutch Star have LED lights on the main and entrance awnings?

Are any of the exterior coach lights LED such as the tail lights, etc.? Are there LED "running lights" strips located upfront by the headlights?

Thanks!

The 2014 doesn't come with LED's on the exterior of the coach with the exception of a string, about 12" long, under the edge of each headlight lens. No lights on/in the awning.

The taillights, docking lights, interior bay lights, scare lights and entry door light are all bulb type. I changed out the entry door bulb, scare lights and bay lights to LED. The docking lights are sealed boat type lights and can't be upgraded to LED. Yesterday, I added a 16' strip of LED's under the passenger side bay to add some ambiance to the patio.

We have the LED light upgrade inside, but not all lights are LED, just all the ceiling lights. The cosmetic lights in the master bath are bulb (4), the wall sconces have bulbs and the microwave light has a bulb. I changed the sconces and microwave to LED. The cosmetic lights in the bathroom have very short globes so I haven't found a bulb for them as of yet.

I suspect your docking lights are the same as on my 2015. I upgraded them to LED and they are WAY brighter. Makes it significantly easier maneuvering in the dark. Here's a link to where I got them. They are a direct replacement, takes 2 minutes...

6" Oval Flush Mount LED Backup or Auxillary Lamp

Hope they are the same as yours...

Thanks for the link CapuTech, I'm going to order some of these. Have you looked into replacing any of your tail/brake lights with LED yet? I would like to upgrade these but haven't taken the time yet to research.

No I have not had the time to research that either. I'd like to eventually but those are a bit more complicated.

CapuTech....Thanks for the link too! I hadn't really searched, for them, but glad you did. I just ordered four. I'm getting closer to being all LED.

I did all the tail and back up lights from Newmar. Bought in the parts department.

I do not right now, when I get the coach back from Freightliner (warranty on turbo tubes and hoses) I'll get the numbers.

I don't remember the cost, as it was almost 2 years now.

Fantastic. My son will be in Nappanee next week for the Newmar Technician certification course, I'll have him visit Joe and pick these up for me.

thanks John!

Hello!

I appreciate everyone's advice and guidance on LED replacements - good information.

What have you folks done with the side marker lights and the front turn signals?

On the rear lens - are two or just one bulb needed other than the back-up bulbs?

Thanks!

Jon,

Here's a shot of the headlight configuration on the DS. You had asked about the LED's and I just came across this photo I had taken at the factory.
