2014 Ventana 4369 Trip Complete

After a very positive week of factory delivery at Camp Newmar we are back at home nested at the Lake & Shore Campground in southern NJ.

For the 700+ mile trip I can assure you this Newmar Ventana 4369 was road tested in every way and passed with flying colors. If you have ever considered using Interstate 80 across Ohio, RECONSIDER. I am here to say there are very large sections of that highway that one could easily consider to be the worst highway ever. Once construction at what seemed like an eternity is finished I may change my mind but for anytime in the near future I will drive 1 - 2 hours out of my way to avoid that toll road. Good grief what a mess and the fact that they charge you to drive on that is fleecing at its best. At any rate, our Ventana took the pot holes, un-even roads, work zones, wind & rain pretty darn well. We did not experience one single issue/problem.

I will say with zero uncertainty that "Comfort Drive" is the real deal. I had test driven with the CD before purchase but you really need to take a trip to fully feel how good it is. I was literally using two fingers driving this 43 foot home across bridges with cross winds of 40 MPH with rain. We saw trailers swaying with the cross winds meanwhile the wife and I just smiled as we cruised pass them all at 65 mph while listening to Led Zepplin via bluetooth from my iPhone. I thought the GPS/Radio system we had installed worked pretty darn good as well. The cruise control working with the engine brake is just unreal. I think for the entire trip home I may have put my foot on the brake pedal 5 times, maybe less. In Pennsylvania going over and down the mountains was a real treat. We ended up with about 7 MPG which I thought was also pretty good for our first long trip.

When we arrived at our camping spot I was thrilled with the 55 degree wheel cut and was easily able to back in with little effort. It took me all of about 3 minutes to navigate into our spot. I love that about these coaches.

Cannot say enough about the quality of the Newmar coach, we are truly happy campers with our 4369 all electric home.

Cheers

Ken,

Welcome to the Nappanee Class of 2014. I know first hand how gorgeous your coach is. I'm very happy for you and wish you many happy travels. I am still hoping you can find a way to make the Hoots gathering in September.

Cheers!

Jigs

Very nice, sure looks good setup in site. Understand your joy of backing with the 55 degree wheel cut. Backing into my driveway off narrow two lane over culvert with 3' drop off and mailbox next to drive, had me very worried when I brought mine home. Made it into driveway the first try. So yes you are correctly describing the ease available.

Karen and I know you both are very happy. We wish ya'll continued happy RVing for years.

Delima 4369 with L couch

Has anyone purchased a 4369 without the bar and replaced it with the L couch on Pass side and recliner/ tv fireplace on the drivers side? That is just an option not a special on the 4369. We are still a ways out on our purchase but I want to ask owners about why they chose a 4369 over 4364 or vise versa. The real question is walk-in closet or 2 wardrobes in the bedroom. We will be fulltiming and want to make sure other full timers feel that they have enough closet space in the 4369. Thanks all, Randy

Lucky Duck. Very nice ride. 20K miles & we love our 2011 Ventana 3962. Wish I could stream bluetooth through our Eclipse, I'd be right there with the Zepplin too.

Fixit1957,

Yes we ordered and bought ours without the bar stools. We elected to have another couch there. The reason we like the 4369 was because the rear of the coach gives you a much larger shower, more storage space etc. I would agree it is not the space you spend most of your time but for us we both really like the extra space and at 43 ft, 10 inches long you are not giving up less space in the rest of the coach. The other 43 model I believe puts the fridge and counter on the opposite side of the 4369 model.

Hope this helps and good luck.

Great report Ken!!

We love hearing those stories of the excitement of a new RV. It's just beginning for you guys!! Isn't it great to not care about the wind with the CD system??
