2015 DS 4002 Brake controller

I crawled under the dash looking for a place to plug in a break controller. Any clues, pics, and or suggestions are appreciated.

It's actually a BRAKE controller not a Break.. ok spelling lesson is over LOL so on with the problem. I have a 2016 4369 and never did find the wire loom associated with the brake controller. I took apart wire looms, looked both sides of the steering column and nothing. Newmar said the loom was left of the steering column, others here said they found it above or to the right the column. After a couple of different attempts to find the factory loom over several days and several hours of searching I gave up and since I had to crawl under the coach for another reason, I strung new wires and tied into the 7 pin trailer plug on the rear bumper

The wiring harness is there somewhere. It is standard from Freightliner. I can not tell you where it is because we had our Newmar tech find it and pull it down for us.

It will have a plug on the end of the harness that is not connected to anything. As I recall the wires are marked.

When I was doing this project I did find some resources and photos online after some serious google searching. If I still have the links I will try to post them.

I found the harness behind the steering column. The pig tail was there as well. My dealer had quoted an outrageous amount claiming "they had to send someone to frightliner" to get the part. now that i'm out of warranty i will seek out a independent tech or shop for my work.
