And, I want a coach that I can take to cool places like Cades Cove, and a thousand other beautiful County, State, and National parks and forest that won't accommodate a 40+ foot land yacht. Given all that, in an 35' coach, I'd like:
- Aqua Hot
- Porcelain Fixtures / Toilet
- A HUGE inverter and four AGM batteries to power it
- Solar charging - not 100 watts, 500 watts!
- All Wheel disc / ABS brakes
- Independent Front suspension
- Side Radiator (Freightliner, are you listening?)
- Entegra quality floor, ceiling and sidewall construction - clearly the best in the industry
- Aluminum wheels
- Insulated front and rear caps - Winnebago, are you listening?
- Adjustable Foot Pedals
- USB Connections at every outlet even remotely close to a surface my phone, tablet / computer might be on.
- Smart wheel controls WITH entertainment system controls - Entegra, are YOU listening?
- Easily accessible servicing for ALL engine and other system filters
- Awnings that decline enough to shield the side of the coach. And yes, I HATE awnings that extend over slide out rooms!
- Heated bays. I LIKE winter camping and I'd like to have water available.
- A powered driver's window. Small is fine, just let me talk to the rally parking guy. And, make sure it is QUIET!
- A lighted grab bar at the entry door with keypad.
- Pass-through storage
- Central compartment lighting and locking system. If I'm accessing one, I'd be happy having them all opened and lit at the same time.
- A roof ladder that doesn't require some goofy separate piece I have to carry in the cargo bay. NO! Figure it out.
- Sliding battery trays. My AGM's won't require servicing but I do like to admire them now and then.
- Automatic over-the-air and satellite dishes that work. And why, oh why can't anybody figure out how to make an affordable DirecTV in-motion system.
- Central AC and Heating. Winnebago had it right with the basement system. Multiple roof mounted systems is just silly. Would you put three AC systems in your 2000 sq foot stick home? No, you would not. So, why would you even consider putting three separate systems in your 500 sq foot moving home?
- Holding tank systems for the 21st century. I should't still be using a portable sewage hose and a black tank "sprayer" that barely does the job. If I have to stir the "pyramid" one more time I may give up on the motorhome business altogether! Disgusting! I'm sure the entire industry can develop a better system of systems to handle waste.
- A driver's seat that pampers the guy / gal doing all the work! I don't care if it swivels around and becomes a lounger. Make it one of those nice bus driver quality floating pneumatic jobs, with heat, lumbar support, massage, infinitely adjustable armrest and thigh supports and a headrest that actually touches my head!
- An outside shower that's actually a shower, not a handheld sprayer.
- A power monitoring, power shaping, power delivery system that I don't have to upgrade the day after I buy my coach. I mean seriously, who doesn't want a surge protector and Progressive Industries style power monitor. And, having spend the week at the Super Show, I'd like a Hughes Autoformer to make sure I get adequate voltage from those long, long power cords!
- LED lighting - everywhere. But, not the bright white crap. This is my home. I want nice warm white lights inside. Light the cargo compartments and the outside up like a gym but not the living spaces.
- Multiplexed power control of everything - lights, TVs, Shades, etc. In the age of the iPad, there is zero reason to have me walking around closing shades, turning off lights, locking doors, etc when I get ready to it the sack or wake up!
- Residential refrigerators but better dry camping ability - solar?
- TV's in places where one might actually be able to see them from the installed couches / seats!
- Front TV - always. Yes, me and my bride like to watch the Weather Channel while we move down the road.
There are so many obvious upgrades I'd be willing to pay for in a new coach. But, until a manufacturer packages all the stuff I want into a nice 35-40' coach that is affordable, I'll just keep upgrading my awesome 2010 Winnebago Journey!
Don't get me wrong though. It was a GREAT show!

Newmar's and the other high-end coaches are nice but I don't want one! What I'd like to see is a feature packed coach without all the "gold plating." I'm probably in the minority but I really don't like the look of many of the high-end coaches' interiors. And, I don't want 45' worth of coach. I want a 35-38' coach with all the features I described with a nice residential style interior that I can keep clean easily and that doesn't add a ton of weight. We spend a lot of time in smaller parks - county, state, and National as well as National forest and Corps of Engineers. Many of those places are not well suited to coaches over 35' and getting a 45' coach in one would often be impossible or prohibited.
So, again, put all the high-end features in a nice, value based 35' coach and I'll put my money down. Until then, I'll just keep upgrading my reliable and exceptionally functional, go anywhere Winnebago Journey! BTW, the Entegra Aspire TK 39M is the closest any manufacturer has come to meeting my list of wants.

Saw this when we were coming in. What a mess. From what others parked already said, the wife was going spastic. What a mess. It was a tight turn but he could have maneuvered it better. Unless the people working there was telling him how and where to go. We parked in that row.

Hi f14av8r,
Consider investigating the Ventana LE. Go to
Floor Plan Options - Newmar and take a look. If you are not familiar with Newmar, a motto of theirs is "We mass produce in volumes of one". While all the items on your list are not standard equipment, Newmar will customize what you need when they build the coach. Choose a floor plan where the kitchen and bathroom(s) are where you want them. After that, make it your own. I mention the kitchen and bath because Newmar will not customize a coach when it would require recertification of the coach.
I read nothing in your list that can not be done when the coach is built. Based on your posts, the Ventana LE or Ventana is what you have described.

I asked the price and it was $5,000. I will keep walking and buying new shoes now and then.

Lots of people don't truly understand "custom build".
While he can't get everything on his list Newmar would be the only one to get close.
He can't even get everything on the list from any of the affordable manufacturers. Would have to go to Pevost, Newell or Foretravel and still might not get it all.
I would like to get a lot of other things on that list as well.

Entegra has this. I have it on my Anthem.

Hi MRUSA14,
Making your post in the Newmar Owners Forum may not be the best place for you to get Entegra's attention. They may monitor the Entegra Owners Forum.

We are now in the exact same coach as you (2010 Winnie 34Y). We love it. I think you'd love a Newmar Ventana or the Ventana LE. We just ordered a 2015 Ventana 4037. It has a very similar understated interior as the 2010 Winnebago DP but with the option of customizing the floor plan, upgraded flooring, available all electric, etc. We also added REAL wood cabinets (something that always bugged me on the Winne).

You're right, the Ventana looks like a nice fit. I didn't realize it was available in so many floorplans. As so many of you have suggested, I'll give Newmar a closer look.
Thanks!
