2016 FWS Problem

My friend has a 2016 Dutch Star and his FWS will not go out all the way, it is stopping just at the point where it is about to drop down to level up with the rest of the floor. It almost sounds like it is binding when it stops. My slides are the older electrical so I am not familiar with this one, can anyone offer any suggestions.

a member here (kpecks, i believe) had one of the rollers on the bottom of his FWS break off...it was restricting the full deployment of the slide, and causing air intrusion...

i would have him look in the gap, when the slide is almost all the way out and then ready to drop, very carefully, for anything like that...check all the rollers.....gotta use a good flashlight and get down in there close....also check from the outside....

i suppose it also could be an issue with the chains on either end of the slide.....could be something binding there....

EDIT: here is the thread on the roller breaking....

2016’s have walls that sag in the middle, the good news is Newmar has been stepping up and repairing them. Major repair if this is the issue

Does he have the HWH Hydraulic slide or the older Newmar two motor slide system.
This link will explain both, in the 2016 -17 period the slide systems operation was changed in the 2016-17 coach transition period.

Thank you, it sure which it is, I was assming the HWH system but could be wrong. I think that he may have been deploying in the wrong order. I had him retract his levelers and air up the coach, then when we deployed it did go all the way out but the back dropped very hard. I noticed when he brought it in just enough to lift it that the rollers in the front were clearing way before the one’s in the back. Not sure what would cause that but he is going to have a mobile service come and look at it, thanks for the responses.
