2016 Newmar Deliveries Thread

Just got back from Camp Newmar, met with Michelle Howard, she said to tell all you guys, "hey!"

So as most of you know, my DW and I configured our dream coach, a Dutch Star 4381. We chose this particular floor plan because of the bath and a half, the master bath has two sinks and the kitchen is on the driver side which was the gotta have for my wife.

Here's a list of the standard options from the build sheet. (I will upload a clean copy later)
  1. Caramel cherry cabinets
  2. prism interior decor
  3. three – 15M heat pump air-conditioners
  4. electric radiant heat installed below main floor tile
  5. Whirlpool two-piece stacked washer and dryer
  6. all electric flush mount induction cook top, electric fridge
  7. central vacuum
  8. dishwasher
  9. Sony 40 inch LED TV in front overhead
  10. exterior entertainment center in storage compartment with Sony 32 inch LED TV and sound bar
  11. Sirius Radio (no nav, getting the Rand McNally 7670)
  12. Winegard in Motion Dome Satellite Dish for Dish HD
  13. Winegard Rayzar Automatic Digital TV Antenna (local HD Channels)
  14. Combination Desk with Buffet Table 2 Fixed and Two Folding Chairs
  15. Heated Driver and Passenger Seats
  16. Sleep Number Premier Radius Corner Air Mattress
  17. LED Lights Installed below under Door Side Slide Outs
  18. Power Rewind Reel with 50 Foot Cord
  19. Recess Docking Lights
  20. Solar Prep Wire from Roof to House Battery with Number 6 Gauge Wire
  21. Large Storage Tray with Access from One Side
  22. Painted Power Baggage Door Locks, Keyless Entrance Door with Touchpad and Doorbell
  23. Pass-Through Storage Tray with Access from Either Side
  24. MCD Power Window Shades with Remote Control
  25. Safe Located in Bedroom Wardrobe
  26. Shoe Store Shelves Recess in Rear wardrobe
  27. 110 V Heat Pads for Holding Tanks
  28. Assist Handle in Shower
  29. Fold-Down Shower Seat
  30. Hot Water Line to Generator Area
  31. Power Water Hose Reel
  32. Added Kitchen window
  33. Dometic 9000 Window Awnings on Driver-Side
  34. Two Girad Nova Site Awnings with Wind Sensor Remote Control and LED Lights
Customer Pickup at Newmar Factory

Now for the specials:
the interior and exterior colors we mixed and matched from different models, so whatever my wife picked is what we will all see in August or September!
  1. In the half-bath we went with it under mount sink instead of the vessel sink
  2. Our counter-tops will have a high polish and without the black accent strip
  3. Cedar paneling in the rear war group like the mountain air
  4. RV Sanicon System
  5. GE Advantium Microwave
  6. added LED lights inside pantry to turn on when door opens
  7. added LED lights to come on when door opens under both bathroom sinks
  8. added three LED lights under overhead cabinets and kitchen
  9. added 12 V outlet left the steering wheel by the window
  10. Added 12 V outlet in front of the passenger seat
  11. run extra 12 V, 12gauge wires to waterworks compartment positive and ground and chassis ground for future see level tank monitors
  12. run two extra 12 V 12gauge wires from waterworks compartment to pegboard
  13. at 110 V outlet behind Master toilet and waterpipe for the bedit add-on
  14. run condo from inverted to better monitor display inside coach for future solar power energy monitoring panel
  15. Added 110 V outlet on driver-side and passenger side
  16. Added 110 V Outlets in Storage Compartments on Both Sides in Basement
  17. Added 110 V/USB Outlets on Both Sides of Bed in Lieu of Standard Outlet
  18. Eight AGM Batteries
  19. Add HDMI Cat5 Cable from dinette to AV Cabinet (media server)
  20. Added an extra towel hook next to standard one in master bath

Well I think that's enough for now, thanks again to all the people for all their suggestions, and hopefully I can pay forward to the people coming behind me.

We are spec'ing out a 2016 DSDP 4369 and have chosen many of the same features. I appreciate some of your specials, and will look at adding or clarifying those. Hope this all works out!

Holy Cow Frank!

I think you are the "specials" King for the 2016 model year. We ordered our DS 4018 two weeks ago and only have two specials on our build sheet. I understand you have a three page spreadsheet no doubt describing the reasons for all those 12V and 110V outlet adds. Can you provide a summary of the reasons, or have you provided details in a previous thread?

Roy, I thought you were looking at fifth wheels? What made you go back to getting a Dutch Star?
