2017 4037 sleeper sofa removed
OK, just pulled the 91" long sofa with air mattress to make room for a couple recliners.😊
Anyone have any ideas for reuse or disposal🤔
Don't like disposal route since it is a pricy piece of hardware.
Thanks
Bob

Are you going to replace the missing tile yourself? Thinking of trying this myself. Thanks

I looked under our sofa and several tiles were not installed. Guessing it is a way to save a few bucks but over several hundred coaches it can add up to quite a nice chunk of change.

Excellent! One less thing to deal with. Curious - how difficult was the removal of the sofa through the door?

I had it done by local RV shop. About 1.5 hours. The had to disassemble to carry out.

I removed my sofa in my 2006 DSDP for same reason.....got lucky and someone local was remodeling 2002 LADP he bought with no furniture in it. Made both our days. Just FYI though, you can not advertise items for sale on this site, [moderator edit]Try eBay, Craigs List etc.

I removed mine my self, disassembled it and placed strap around bed to prevent opening while moving it. Took about 2 hours to disassemble, remove, reassemble in garage for new owner to pick up.

Curious if you removed the passenger’s copilot seat to aid in getting out the door? Also, it looks like there are 4 bolts/nuts holding the bed in the sofa frame? Thanks for any info you may have.

I did not remove passenger seat, but did rotate it as we removed through door. Yes there are a few bolts that hold bed frame to upholstered section. I started by removing front upholstered section , then the two sides, which allowed access to bed section. I wrapped a strap around center of bed to prevent it from expanding while removing it. There should also be bolt for seat belts. In my DSDP there were 6 carriage bolts coming up from floor, extend slide, put but on bolt head and tap on nut to push through floor, once loose, remove but and use punch to push bolt through floor. I then filled holes with expanding foam, Little bit expands a lot!!
Hope this helps.

So you removed a secured down sofa and replaced it and didn't secure it to the floor? I don't understand why owners do this. I can only imagine the hazard in an accident. Front tire blow out? No seat belts? My BIL had my MIL and FIL in their RV had to do a quick maneuver and the old people toppled off the couch onto the floor. He had belts, never bothered to dig them out.
