With sincere thanks to Weretherusso and Ashley @Newmar, we have more photos! She is scheduled to leave in the morning, hope to have some final construction pics then. Candace Koogler | 2017 Dutch Star 4018 - May, 2016

It's fun and exciting to "watch" isn't it!! I didn't get to see our two DSDP's being built but I took the tour in 2004 while there for repairs.

This have been fun. Cheryl and I were at the factory last Monday the 16th. We met with Michelle and designed our 4369. We went with the same fabric you did on the window coverings. This is the first time we could see them on a window. Did you use that fabric on the chairs? We opted to use the same leather that is on the couches on the chairs. Also seeing big sheets of the wall coverings is nice. 1" square piece is hard to get the real look if it. Keep sending any photos you get. I want to see the exterior colors when it gets painted. Is there a discount in custom ordering a Newmar coach and picking it up from the factory? Do you have to go back to the factory for servicing? How about the tax and licensing issues? We would like to have the option to eliminate the couch and replace that area with a cabinet where we could store a computer and printer with an electric fireplace and have a flatscreen on a lift. Then have the 2 recliners on the opposite side. Do you have to sell you existing coach on your own or do they take trade-ins?

P.S. What are the differences between the Frieghtliner and Spartan chasis? Is one 'better' than the other?

Custom ordering only gets you the exact options and specials you want. We found several 4369 that were close but most had something that we didn't want but were going to have to pay for. Factory PU gets you a person that you have for an entire week. That is your guy to make sure you know all systems on the coach and if anything was missed in the inspections they take it to service and get it fixed before you leave. All motor homes have issues but they spend 2 weeks going over the coach to makes sure everything is fixed before you get there. I costs more to do a factory pu.

Check out posting from NWlandings. they did the what you want in there coach. They pick it up the middle of next month. Any requests you make have to go through engineering. Some may not make it and are rejected. Hope this helps. Randy

does anyone know if Newmar has found away to correct this???

I know this sounds dubious - especially as I didn't flag or link the post - but I did read on a thread somewhere on irv2 where the problem was identified as to much slop in the linkage controlling the slide height. An adjustment was identified that rectified the issue.

Again I appologize for not having saved a link to the thread; I thought it would be well disseminated by now.

In the thread about the delivery of their new London Aire, JMonroe said:

"The full wall slide issue, not being totally level with the main floor, was improved but not fully fixed. We were told that HWH has come up with a new extension arm design that will allow for adjustment. They'll be phasing that into regular production soon. As for us, we'll live with what we have now(which really isn't too bad) until we return in September (just in front of the IRV2 rally) to get the retro fit done."
