2017 Newmar Mountain Aire
Just brought it home and purchased new. Of course with all Motor Coaches we know there are always little problems. Here is ours: Under the motor coach are carriage tray slideouts. There is a switch to press for it to slide out so you can load and press switch to slide back in. Well the switch on all of the carriage tray slides aren't working. Can someone tell me what I need to do? Fuse and if so where do I even begin. Am connected to 50 amps. Can someone with a NEWMAR tell me what I need to do. Our service guy is out for the Labor Day Weekend. Thanks all!!

Does your coach have a bay light switch? If so it could control the power to the tray, just a guess.

The bay lights and tray slide switches are not on the same circuit.
There has to be a bad fuse or connection somewhere. If no resolution by Tuesday give Newmar a call. They'll talk you through some trouble shooting.

JMonroe, thanks for your response. I will start looking for a bad fuse.

Mine is a manual tray, so no independent knowledge of how yours works, but, does yours slide both ways. If so, do both doors need to be open before operation. Could be a safety feature so you don't damage a bay door.

Both doors do not need to be open. There are limit switches that will stop the tray.

Well, discovered the problem. We have the electric tray slideouts. On the passenger side underneath the window, are two switches. One locks and unlock all under carriage doors. The other is a battery power switch. Guess what the batter power switch was turned off accidentally. Turned that sucker back on and all works, undercarriage tray slideouts, cargo lights. etc... What a goofball!! We sit in our 2017 Newmar Mountain Aire 4553 figuring out all of the bells and whistles while drinking a glass of wine. Thank you all for responding. Wifey

I would call that little 800 number you have on your drivers side window for Newmar help. They are very good at troubleshooting to see if you can handle a fix.
