2017 Newmar Mountain Aire #4543, Long Room Slideout, Slideouts and Jacks

Here's the question. When getting ready to do slideouts, should the jacks go down first and level, and then press the button for the Long Room slideout and others to follow, or Slideouts to go out first, and then press the button to do the jacks and leveling.

We are getting two different answers. Newmar says to have the jacks go down and level, and then you can press the button for the slide outs.

Our dealership representative says no, what you want to do is slideouts first, so they are going out on the tires with less torqueing, then place the jacks down for leveling.

Totally confused and would appreciate other Newmar owners to respond. We would like to camp the correct way when it comes to the slideouts and leveling jacks and hopefully avoid future slideout problems with the long room slide.

wifey to a wonderful husband and owner of a brand new 2017 Mountain Aire.

Air up the bags, then slide out then jacks down. To put slides in, jacks up, air up bags then slides in. This is from Newmar on Newgle. I've heard 3 different versions but this is on th wit site.

Welcome to the forum, Wifey and congrats on your Newmar.

The first thing to move will be your FWS once it is out than you put your jacks down and move other slides.

I'am doing two questions at the same time and here are two links I have given to the other member.

If your reveals allow you to move FWS than you will put your jacks down to level your coach, when level put out your remaining slides.

I would not use AUTO level until your comfortable doing slide extensions manually.

AS judgebook said your aired up and reveals ARE correct to move FWS.

If your reveals are not correct aired up you may need to reposition you coach aired up.

We have many owners with FWS and not having problems, on the forum.

All links below in my signature have information for your Newmar.

This link will lead you to all tsb's, bulletins and other useful information.
