2017 Ventana Le 4037 Kitchen slide failure.

I extended my curb side slide out and it stopped after one foot. All attempts to extend failed. I was able to bring the slide back in.

I disconnected all power to the coach and turned the power back on. The slide out would extend and retract. Just as the slide is fully retracted there is a loud bang like two hammers striking each other but much louder.

What caused this and how to fix it?

I am having the same problem with the foot of bed quad slide (my smallest slide)... just as it reaches full travel in and also at full travel out.

Watching it from the basement area, the rack & pinion system seemed to work fine. I think the noise was coming from the slide motor.

I have a service appointment in 2 weeks.

Might want to check this prior discussion. Sounds (no pun intended) the same.

I had the same problem and at first everyone thought it was the rear slide lock clanging. But my noise started to sound like a gun blast. I finally had a mobile tech dig into my issue and it was my front motor. It had about an 1/2' of gears missing. The banging was occurring when the slide was getting out of whack (uneven) and slamming back in.
