As in 2017 DS the choice of the Spartan chassis would be a smart choice. There have been numerous post on the advantages so no need to cover them again.

Freightliner employee [emoji23]. I'm still working on that. There aren't a lot of changes but I spent the majority of my time of the New Aires and Essex so far so I need to dig into the 18s when they start coming in.

Like....most of it. There are aspects I don't like and that's mostly pertaining to the service side of things and the lack of access to spots... some things have much less room to service things. Very tightly packed together. But all in all, I like it. It has some really cool features that are new to me and I hope they eventually make it to other models. I haven't been able to drive one yet but I've heard they do alright.

I'm eager to drive new the New Aire. My dealer who was at the show said folks from Newmar were promoting had well the New Aire accelerated, I don't know if they said anything else about the ride quality.

They were test drove in the early in the morning before sunrise and unfortunately I wasn't able to go along. I imagine they ride pretty well with the IFS up front. I do know I'll be driving one tomorrow.

I believe Canuck is correct. FL has all 8 aluminum rims, Spartan does not

Can you elaborate on why you think Freightliner is equal to/better than the Spartan?
Thanks,
Ian

I do think they are at least equal. Just because a Spartan costs more, doesn't make it better. They can't get the pricing that FL gets from some vendors.
Service side of things is where FL far excels in my book!
