2018 King Aire HWH stuck

Hello,
Do any of you have any ideas on how to return a FWS (HWH) and steps and gen slide back in? Seems like the motor is spinning but not engaging. Electrical all tested fine, no fluid loss.
Thanks.

On our 18 London Aire when we went to the factory for warranty work Newmar added a switch above drive seat cabinet to reset the HWH system. We didn't ask for the switch but they said it is for when HWH system goes into to lock out so you hold this switch down for 5 sec, and it resets the system. They said it was so you won't have to pull the fuse to reset. Would suggest pulling HWH fuse and then put it back in and see if that resets it. Not sure the location of the fuse but remember we have a lot of fuses behind the black cover in 50 AMP power cord cabinet and I think that is were I saw it.

Yes, we have that switch. It didn’t work. Also tried fuse removal, didn’t work. Mobile tech could not help. Possibly a broken shaft? Tech from NIRVC will talk to HWH tomorrow.

I don't know if this will help. On our tuscany there was a breaker on the wall of the battery compartment. If it tripped the hydraulics were out as well the power to start the generator.

I had the same issue on our 2018 LA. Additionally the FW slide was inop. Ended up replacing the hydraulic pump.

Yes, pump will need to be replaced. This is according to HWH on the phone. Apparently, activation of the motor will sound a certain way when the pump is out

None so far. They are using a different pump now. The shaft would shear off on the older one. Just a high pitched sound and no fluid. Are you stuck somewhere with the full wall out?

Napa RV. They've been kind enough to prolong my stay while I'm back to work in Sacramento. Did they have to change the shaft too?

The Napa expo RV park is wonderful. Definitely one of our favorites. Small park, need to reserve ahead. Nice level concrete pads. No frills, in the middle of everything Napa. Could not tell you anything about bathrooms or other facilities, but the pads are very nice.

had same issue fall of 2017 with the pump on a 17ladp. it took more than 2 hrs to crank the fws in manually. a few cranks on the front, then in the back. the steps retracted once had the wires disconnected. The gen slide was out too, but only a couple of inches and was able to drive to Elkhart to an hwh dealer to have the pump replaced.

it seems just the pump must have been the common problem.
