I was denied the special to have the Oasis pre-heat option installed, so Midway will be doing this for me after factory delivery. All other specials I requested were approved.

I am told that the production date is in September, with an October FPU. It will be 30-60 days before I get more concrete dates.
I have read Newmar has gone to Cat6 vs HDMI.

What are each of the wiring specials going to be used for?

Do you have any other specials?

Thanks

Negotiate would normally be the term I use. In fact I would usually say something along the lines of "I gave an ultimatum " or something similar.

In this instance I was given a very fair offer on the net deal, with full disclosure of trade value, sales price, etc. Along with my trade taking place on the day of fpu @ nappanee. Chad will be meeting me there to sign papers and take coach back to midway.

It was so simple, and fair, that I didn't even bother negotiating. First offer was what was finally accepted, after adding in specials, and changing from 4362 to 4369.

Did you have to pick from 2019 colors or could you pick from 2018 colors?
No. In fact originally was using my own palette based on the colorbook. I discovered the screen view is so different than real life, I decided to base it off of something I could see, and ended up liking a production scheme.

What is the Oasis loop? Havent heard of that.
Thanks
David
Oasis pre-heat loop is a motor installed inline on the engine coolant loop and a switch in the front panel. The engine coolant already circulates in the oasis while driving, giving us waste heat. This additional fan and switch allow the oasis to be used as the engine preheat ILO the plugin block heater. For those without heated floors, it gives an added benefit of a heated bathroom floor !

Yes, in fact I was the first NEW newmar dutchstar with this. Look at my blogs on this site for a description. It provides for air leveling when parked as well as keeping the coach stable in all driving conditions. Handles very well in the corners!

2: What is the Oasis Loop you are adding?
I just added a response above, let me know if you have addl questions.

3: Is the TST installed internally or is it attached to the valve stem as mine are attached to the stem?

Keep us posted and excellent coach choice
This is a valve stem setup with a repeater for the road. The valve stems on the coach are a passthru design.

Yes, cat6 with Balun is the new standard, and a great option for future proofing. The balun is a device that converts signal to run over cat6. In this case an hdmi balun is used, but it could be anything.

I plan on adding the LTE amplifier (weeboost), and a separate LTE/Wifi router on the roof. Newmar has one option, but it is not the best option.

The cat 6 will accommodate the lte/wifi and the rg6 will accommodate the weeboost.

Since I dont know the exact components, I chose a simple path from roof to driver console for the first run, and then from there to the av cabinet. This gives me flexibility for install.

The second cable going to the back bedroom is so that I can have true flexibility with sources for the 4 TVs. I will be running an hdmi matrix switch with 4 inputs and 4 output. Any TV can watch any source.

As I am writing this, I just realized I need to cat 6 to the bedroom. That will allow one to be used as a matrix out, and one as a matrix in. The reason for this is crucial...if I am up front and want to watch DirecTV source separate from the outside directtv, it can only happen with 2 cables....

Guess I need a change order

No other specials were requested, as I saw lots of options, but nothing I had to have.

Thanks,

I assume the HDMI converters are powered by the Cat6. The matrix switch is in the cab above televator?

It would be interesting to see Newmars wiring schematics. I have copies of last years diagram.

I will be developing a wiring diagram once I tear into mine. I know that as-configured from newmar, there are 2 HDMI sources in the MAIN av cabinet, and 2 sources in the Bedroom AV.

The bedroom does not connect to the rest of the tv's.

The Main AV Cabint connects to all front tv's and the exterior tv.

Source 1 connects to the provided Blueray player, then goes to an HDMI UTP Distribution box. This has 1 HDMI input, and 1 HDMI output + 4 cat 6 Outputs. These will run to the External tv and front tv.

This whole setup is duplicated for the extra HDMI plug that is in the back wall of the av cabinet. Source 1 is the same on all 3 tvs. Source 2 is the same on all tvs.

I am wanting to replace this configuration with a Matrix, allowing 4 different sources to be displayed to 4 different tvs simultaneous.

Once I find the location of the HDMI distribution box, I will be able to fully document the process of making this happen.

When looking at a 2018 4369 I was pointed to the area well behind the kitchen sink base cabinet (on the lefthand side looking in) as the location for this. Hope that helps.

All the HOOT'S threads are at the top of the QT's # 3 link below in my signature.
A lot of MOD's and upgrades in all of them that can be used now.
PDR John has a Mod section in the second section of the link down near the bottom of it.

Based on what I have learned about the locations of the factory HDMI splitters, I am running one of the rear av cat6 cables to the kitchen wall under the sink, where the hdmi splitters are located.
