2019 Mountain Aire Half Bath Door Latch

Back in Sept we purchased a 2019 Mountain Aire 4543.
Love the MA and other than 1 really big issue with a pulley on Cummins engine that failed all else has been great.
In my original post I was inquiring about the door latch on the 1/2 bath
From the outside you can push it til it latches, but from the inside you are not able to fully close the door.
Discussed this with Newmar at Tampa Show but they ignored the problem.
Seems to be one of those small problems that they simply say is not a problem
So this follow up thread is to see if any recent new owners are having the same problem?

We had a similar issue on our 18 LA and found that problem was more with us by not pushing the door closed and then latch it. Try to push the door closed at the same time as latching it.

Are you saying when inside the bath, the door won't latch or latches but isn't sealed against the door frame?

To clarify
When I am outside the 1/2 bath and push the door the magnet makes the connection and latches door closed.
When inside the 1/2 bath and pull on the latch the magnet does not latch and the door will not latch closed

Hi Golferdave78,
Consider shimming the bottom or top hinge. Just a bit, it does not take much.

Mine latches perfectly, however the top of the door is warped out about 3/4". I worry that replacing the door will bring on the latching problem you describe. Also, when doing our PDI, the tech mentioned that from the inside it is best to not pull on the latch, but the recess above the latch. That way, you are not continuing to release the latch while trying to close.

Sorry.....can't help, mine uses a standard door knob and latch. I did have a issue with my pantry cabinet. It wasn't closing during my PDI. It had two magnets. I adjusted the lower one out a little and solved the issue.

2019 Mountain Aire Half Bath Door Latch

If you push lightly on the left side of door it works
