2nd Oasis on/off switch
As it is there is only one on/off switch for the Oasis and it is up front in the electronics cabinet. I like to run the Oasis when showering so I don't run out of hot H2O when on electric burners. However I always forget to turn it on. Then have to run up front buck naked and turn it on real quick. No one want to see that.
Has anyone added an on/off switch in the back bathroom on there bath and a half unit before? If so how did you accomplish this MOD?
Or if you were going to do this how would you tackle it? I'm sure a couple of you electronics geniuses would know how.

I solved the problem.....my wife always showers first, so I have her run up front and turn it on! She doesn't do it naked, so it's a non event!

I was afraid, for a moment, that the forum was gonna get X-rated! Glad you added the explanation.

My wife showers first too, so I can sleep in. I really enjoy the extra 40 seconds before she starts shrilling with cold water. That's my wake up call to get out of bed and turn on the oasis.

Why not leave it on? I'm just asking because I'm new to the Oasis system.

I forget and leave it on after the shower sometimes and then throughout the day when outside I hear the Oasis kick on. Just wasting fuel and energy that is there anyway electrically. Also just trying to be a good neighbor so they don't have to hear the Oasis.

And, FWIW, the MADP and above have a second SilverLeaf control panel located in the bedroom. That's not exactly in the main bathroom, but close enough to keep you from having to dash up to the front of the coach sans clothing.

This flow switch looks like a pretty cool idea....originally I thought it would come on every time water ran, like during a toilet flush, hand wash or ice maker refill. I guess if it's installed only on the hot water side, where it exits the Oasis, it would only turn on during the times you really need it, like showers and washer use.

I'm still a little lost.........
As said, I still know little about Oasis since we have not been able to travel with this coach since we got it in November. Why can't the system be left on with electric power to both water heaters?
Wouldn't that keep the fuel-fired heat from coming on? Is there a downside to leaving it on pedestal power when parked at a campground?
I'm sorry I don't remember if the OP mentioned being in a CG or not.

The electric element can't raise the water temperature fast enough to deliver full flow with a 40° rise. You need the diesel burner to make it hot, fast.

I guess everyone's needs and experiences are different, but in our coach we find that the two electric elements provide plenty of hot water for showers, etc. And, that's in the mountains of Montana...and, elsewhere...where the groundwater is certainly not warm.
