3 A/Cs possible on any of the Newmar 40 footers?

In reading these threads, it seems that 3 A/Cs option isn't possible on the shorter Newmars. I just want to double check and to see if it is possible to get 3 A/Cs on the 40 foot Ventana or Dutch Stars on the 2018 or newer models.

No Newmar dealer within a few hundred miles of me. Reading the online brochures, the option for 3 A/Cs is shown, but not if you can get it on the 40 foot and shorter models of the Ventana or Dutch Star. Kind of crazy if not, especially the Dutch Star, as even the 37 foot Allegro Bus carries 3. I assume you can on the Mountain Aire and up?

A 37 foot Allegro Bus may need the AC due to less insulation than a Newmar.

The problem is that we spend a lot of time down in Palm Springs, sometimes into May with 100 plus temps. We like low seventies inside, and I can barely keep up with the heat in my Tiffin 4LP with three 15K BTU A/Cs, if you wait to late to start them up. I know that the Newmar is better insulated, but can the 40 foot Ventana or Dutch Star really cool down in that kind of heat? The wife would really like to downsize to a 37 to 40 foot on the next coach to save some money. We don't full time but do spend 4 to 5 months in the coach. I really do like the Newmar but don't want to be miserably hot and regret a purchase!

The definitive way to find out is to just call Newmar and ask if it's something they can do.

No on Ventana and Dutch Star, but I believe it's three on the 40' Mountain Aire.

I believe the limitation on 40 and under is roof real estate; back in 16 the "cathedral ceiling" was added for the rear master bath. This was done by raising the roof height to approximately the height of the roof rails over that room. The one by consequence of this is an AC unit can no longer go over the rear bath as it would far exceed the roof rail height. On my 45 the 3 ACs are quite close together and with the satellite dish there isn't much extra room.

Yes, the 40' Mountain Aire has three Penguin 15M ACs. Perfect solution if you want three ACs in a 40-footer.

3 A/Cs possible on any of the Newmar 40 footers?

Prior to my current 40 foot DSDP, I had a 43 foot Monaco with three ACs. The Monaco did NOT do as well with three units as my DS does with two.

Living in Texas, I shared the OPs concern when shopping for this coach.

After driving it for almost a year and putting almost 12,000 miles on the clock, Ive been very pleased with the performance of my two 15k Dometic units. I think the superior insulation is a large part of the reason and the interior ducting is very efficient.

On the other hand, they are putting three units on the 4018 MADP and the roof real estate is the same as the 4018 DSDP, so it could be done on a Dutch Star. But I suppose a Newmar needs one more reason to get us to write that bigger check for the MA.

We had an '02 DSDP with two 13.5 heat pumps. We did just fine in Yuma in mid 90 temps. We did have dual pane windows and the optional, at that time, polar pack roof insulation.
