3 Front Window Awnings will not work.

Getting ready to leave camp in Bryce Canyon UT, the large window awning on the off door side would not retract. I then discovered the other 2 forward window awnings were inoperative as well. The 2 main Girard awnings and the bedroom window awings are ok. I checked the fuse F18 in the 1/2 bath and it was good. Also reset all three GFI switches in the 1/2 bath as well. I ended up pushing the awning in and zip tieing it shut the best I could, so it was drive able. Had to slice the silicone seal open between the side wall and the awning to get the zip ties in. Anyone else run into this issue?

Are those 120v? I have the girard package and thought all awnings where 120v. Could be a GFI

They are 120v and I reset every GFI I could find. 3 in the 1/2 bath and 1 on the kitchen ceiling next to the microwave. Mine is the 4018. I know you have the 4369. Are there more GFI switches?

I am not aware of any others.

Once have cycled the breakers, the next step is to check the relays. It is odd that all 3 relays would be out so I am sure it is another gfi that we have not found.

The relay for the large awning is shown in these pictures. Click image for larger version

Do they have ignition cut offs? Did you try cycling the key?

Another suspect area, this is where the rail awnings plug. You will see a box where 3 ignition cutouts are.

I was told this was related to air conditioner, but looking at the wiring I am thinking this is for awnings. I have 3 separate romex leaving, one towards door side and the other 2 going off door side.

The first junction box as power in and the various relays. It then feeds another junction box and a cable going to kitchen slide.

The other box goes off door side. Click image for larger version

When you say rail awnings are you referring to the two large Girard awnings on the door side (not window awnings)? I have 2 white boxes in my basement that plug in to 120V. Like the one at the bottom of your photo. I thought those are for those large awnings. Are you referring to the junction box with the yellow wires coming off the top? What should I look for with that box. Should I take the cover off that box and check for power? I have no other power issues in my coach other than the 3 window awnings. I haven't recycled all of the breakers in the bathroom cabinet. None of them seemed to be tripped, but I will try that. I have turned the ignition key off and on and that does nothing. RB thanks for taking your time on this. Jared

Gfi by sink

TRY GFI by sink outlet.

Rail awnings is what I called the 2 large main awnings...the Novas.

Since you only have 2 air conditioners, if your junction box has 3 plugs then I think we can safely dismiss this box being related to the air conditioner.

I have opened the box to see what's inside. I think a simple test would be to disconnect all 3 and see if that fixes your issue. I am just taking a wild guess on this, so it may not work or even be related. It is the only set of ignition disconnects that I cannot find an answer as to what they control.

Attached is a picture of the inside of that box.

I would cycle breakers first...that makes the most sense. Everything else I have posted is just guesswork.Click image for larger version

Thanks again RB. My coach is in storage now so I will try this on Monday. Jared

If it is a breaker, it will be the bottom group that is on the inverter.

I believe that box controls the compressors from the Power Control System aka PCI

Newmar did tell me this was related to the air conditioners, but I didn't understand how. The EMS cutoff makes sense. If that is the case then I would expect that the 4018 would only have 2 connectors here.

That leaves a big question as to where the power for awnings is controlled.

Sure do wish there was a diagram.

Yes they are all 120V. My guess would also be GFI, Newmar is tricky in hiding GFI’s
