A few people might remember that we looked at the new 4159 and did not like the floor plan. So, we decided to make modifications to our 3950 to fit the three children a little better. Here are the pics of what we added:

The net result is a third bed, 6th TV, more storage, one less sink, and one less entry to the lower bed.

The work was performed by Carlyle Lehman of Focal Wood Products in Nappanee. He did a great job and we would recommend him to anyone lookign for work. A great person and amazing craftsman.

That looks nice Nate! Looks like it makes the lower bed a tad bit more private as well. Good job!

The bed is more private but the door is now a large Oak board. I am rolling around the options to maybe put another cabinet in the lower bedroom to make that area look planned.

Nathan,
Great mod to your coach. You may have a second career with Newmar, planning their family friendly floor plans.

If they would listen to my ideas, I would have a blast doing that. I am always looking at the coach and thinking "it would be great if...".

Maybe when the economy turns I can put something together.

Great mod! Carlyle also did great work for us! Now can you help me figure out how to add fold away/hide away beds for our garage/bedroom?

My first thought would be a Murphy bed style with memory foam instead of a mattress (for compression). But, it does not look like you have any wall space in the garage.

Are you looking for spare sleeping space or everyday use?

Temporary sleeping arrangements only. Unfortunately no wall space, no way to hang from ceiling(with AC, vent, lights, door opener, etc.). We have looked at many ideas but so far use a removable couch that makes into a double or air mattress(s) on the floor.
