"They??" Once the dealer gets your money on your new MH, and issues you a 'trip permit' or whatever to get you temp tags, they don't care if you have the proper license. Enforcement is up to your Highway Patrol, and normally, they have other fish to fry. Enforcement is up to the HP, compliance with the law is up to you...........

If you re-read the post, it's a NON-commercial Class B.

I stand corrected. I have no idea what that entails. The question still remains about driving through or staying in states with these requirements. I for one will take no chances and avoid them.

As long as you are properly licensed in your state of residence, there is no issue when driving through other states.

Anyone who took the test in Southern California, did they let you use your back up camera? Or is it mirrors only? Also having issues finding the study guide for class b non commercial. Any idea if it is online somewhere? Thanks. Trying to get legal!

40 foot + CA Drivers license
Here is the California Non Commercial Class B booklet or as California calls it the Recreational Vehicles and Trailer Handbook DL 648. Here is the Web address: https://www.dmv.ca.gov/portal/wcm/connect/28423ba0-bba6-4347-9e21-db274e970772/dl648.pdf?MOD=AJPERES

Quinn, When I took my Non-Commercial Class B driving test (Dec 2016) I was allowed to use the back up camera.

Gravelroad.
There's no need to avoid states that require a Non commercial Class B for vehicles longer than 40'. If you are legally licensed by your state and it has no such requirements (40') then there's no problem and no legal action would be taken.
If you're staying in a state temporarily that doesn't constitute "Permanent residency" and again, no action need be taken.
See, no need to limit your travels !!!!!!
