There is "new" technology being used in Cummins engines called "Torque Management." I first learned about it When I bought my new Ram with the HO engine and power was limited in the lower gears. The same was true in my 2015 Palazzo, and now my DSDP.
After reading up on this issue, it is due to the EPA technology being forced on all diesel trucks and motorhomes (2010 Clean Air Act) which was required to sell these products here and in Canada. Basically if your vehicle uses DEF, it will have torgue management. This makes later hp/torgue numbers a bit meaningless when compared to non def using vehicles.
Clean air has a price.

TJ - Thanks a ton for all the info on the stacker. I'm brand new to looking at that style of trailer and know very little about all the options, differences, etc . . . I'm a few years away from retiring but when I do we're going to need a stacker because I'm not driving home every time I want to change toys. Thanks for taking the time to explain some of the basics.
