You got to believe it's going to go up, but in actual fact, driving conditions, genset use, oasis use, traffic, wind, hills, cow farts, insects, cleanliness of coach going through the air, all are factors in how MPG is derived. I am more worried about the COST of the fuel, as that has more of an impact that the actual mileage, so I lose .1 or .2, so what. Today, murphy has diesel at 2.79 gallon. In CA last month, paid 3.99 for it, highway robbery, let the socialists have it, I can stay on this side and get cheap fuel, and be happy about it.

I love the discussions on DEF consumption and costs.

6.39 so far

Hey Redbaron73,

Don’t feel too bad. In the 4,359 miles I’ve logged so far in your 2013 I’m getting 6.39 mpg.

8.5 mpg

I have about 28k miles on my 2016 Entegra Anthem. The mileage when I bought it was around 2.5 mpg by the hot dog who drove it from the factory to the dealer in GA. I started out flat towing a Honda Element and now a Fusion Hybrid. I try to drive at 65 and it seems to be the sweet spot. Ford says not to exceed 70. I use Kleen Deisel per Cummins with every fill up for the last year and it seems to make a difference. I have never reset the computer and it recently moved from 8.4 to 8.5 mpg.

I actually flew to San Antonio to purchase it because all the local dealers were marking the 2015’s up by $10-$25K and I paid MSRP in TX. I had clear bra film put on the entire front end and drove it home. Averaged between 19-21 mpg on the 1,300 mile ride back. Stoped in Oklahoma City to visit a brother-in-law and also in Columbia, MO where one of our daughters was at college at the time. Pretty amazing for a 707hp car that weighs over 4,500 lbs. Mostly highway miles but I did have fun with it along the way once it was broken in. Since then I haven’t bothered to check but know the amount of fuel you use is directly related to how much gas pegal you are playing with!😂😂

4369 First 3,000 miles diesal consumption

Picked up new 2019 4369 Monday, April 1st. Drove 3,000 miles over past week and averaged 7.2 miles per gallon. 450 on Spartan chassis. Pulled Jeep Wrangler. Average speed was 65 mph, sometimes up to 70 mph.

4369 Gas Mileage

Why are we arguing about this. If we are worried about fuel mileage we are in the wrong passtime.

When my 2015 was new I got around 5.5 mpg. At 10,000 I averaged 6.3 mpg. Now at 25,000 I average 7.2 at 70 mph. I can’t wait to get 1,000,000 miles on it to see if I can get 30 mpg. Have fun... I’m sure most of you didn’t buy it for the great mileage.

2015 DSDP4369, 450 HP. We have had it since last June.

From my Fuelly App (Formerly Gas Buddy):

Fuel:
7877 Miles Tracked
6.5 MPG Ave
8.2 MPG Best Tank
21 Fill Ups Logged
$3817.78 Total Cost

DEF:
6253 Miles Tracked
346.6 MPG Ave
354.6 MPG best tank
4 Fill Ups Logged
$68.26 Total Cost

Other Factors:
I am VERY anti-idle so my idle time is very limited to what is absolutely needed.

When we stayed in the same resort spot for 5 months I filled my tank just before getting there and just after leaving to remove fuel used by OASIS for that time. BTW, we used less than 9 gallons of fuel for 5 months with the OASIS burner used during the day and off at night. There were probably (wild guess) a total of about 30 days where the burner was off for the full day.

Total, fully loaded coach and toad weight 45030#

Normal speed 65 MPH.

My MPG reflects occasional use of generator to include monthly run up when not otherwise in use. It also reflect occasional use for boondocking at overnight stops which is rather minimal and probably not a major factor over the miles driven.

Every vehicle I've ever owned gets exactly the same fuel mileage - half a tank between fill ups.

That's as detailed as my records and calculations ever get.

Mileages

So simple and tank size or most of the other stuff thrown around here has no bearing especially if you use several complete fills.

WHAT ??!? I thought that was my secret! Agree, gauge gets to half and I add 50 gallons. . . Well, added 51.7 one time ❗️

09 Newmar MountainAire 4524, 450 Cummins. Usually maxed out, pulling 20 ft car hauler with Can Am and trailer as well as rest of deck filled. Cruise is 60 mph on flat, faster down hill and slower up. For the past three years, its 6.2 on the computer and by my rough calculations. Just love my rolling home and can’t think of anything I would rather be investing my bucks in.

I didn't realize the had gotten so heavy. My '02 4090 DSDP came in at about 30,000 with no towed and ran about 8 mpg with a Banks kit on it.
Present rig empty is 46,700#'s and probably close to 52,000 incl the CR-V. Getting 7.6 mpg over 51,000 miles.
