I talked with the guys at Progressive Dynamics and was told it is the model that Newmar now uses to replace the IOTA. He also said it will hum a little bit but cant be heard at 1 or 2 ft from the switch.

I plan on ordering one from someplace on the internet at a price of 130 to 150 bucks after I line up an electrician.

Our old Rexhall had a plug like some have talked about. Yeah we can do it that way but we got spoiled with the Newmar and having it in auto mode.

If I had room in the electircal bay I would put in an auto rewind system for the 50 cord too.

Thanks for the responses.

I have had good luck with the Lyght xfer and also have the Progressive surge protector installed--both work fine! Not sure it is the industry standard now days but recommend you get an xfer switch where the contacts are powered by internal DC current. The AC powered models tend to chatter [buzzzzzzzz....] as they get older...
