Cool 6 months in, found what another switch does

When you think you have your coach figured out, another switch function is figured out followed by an OhhhOohh! I don't use the overhead fan and I wasn't sure what the other low/off/high fan rocker switch did on the dash (center console area of the VTDP). In fact on my recent drive back from Newmar I toggled it and nothing happened thinking great, I was just there for a warranty visit and this switch I've never used doesn't work.

Nope, it works just fine. It's a fan for the furnace under the center console. And man is it effective. As I'm doing some winter time camping and learning the winter side of coach ops, if you don't know how effective this is for heating the front of your coach, now you know. With all the glass up front too you know how hard it is to heat/cool esp with shades up.

So again, with furnace on and running per the t-stat, there is a very effective furnace blower under the dash, center console.

I think you might be talking about the Oasis control switch on the dash. If your Oasis is on the furnace setting you will got hot air from underneath the dash. It is very much needed in cold climates to keep the entry section comfortable.

Mine may be a slightly different layout on these fan switches. I've got one labeled "O.H. Fans" and one next to it labeled "High Med Low". So are you saying these two may control a middle floor blower up front when running the engine?

Here is a pic of the switch that controls the furnace fan which is off by default. Knowing of and turning this on will drastically improve heating the front part of your coach. It is very effective.

We use ours all the time. It's nice when you come in from outside to feel the air up front

Thanks for the post, Neal. I thought this might have been what the control was for but just haven’t had an opportunity to camp in cold enough temps to test it out.

The OH Fan switch is for your defroster. There is an additional fan above the windshield. Due to the amount of glass you have to defrost a fan on top the windshield is necessary in cold weather.
Your High, Medium, Low is for the oasis heat. Makes a big difference up front,

I have the overhead defrost switch, and the hi. med. low switch. But I don’t have Oasis. The high low switch controls the defroster fan speed. On our rig

The over head fans will have a motor driven fan as in this picture and also access to wiring for marker lights and speaker wiring to kitchen and bedroom and other miscellaneous stuff.
You will not hear to low fan so check once in awhile you fan motor maybe on for battery drain.
Picture is from QT's 1 & 2 my MOD Section.

On my 2016 Ventana the OH fan is controlled by the high/med/low switch noted in Neals picture. Works great also to move air up front when using dash AC. If you look at Neal’s pic the third button from the right marked high/off/low controls the oasis fan and runs off zone one. Low is nice for quiet operation while high heats the front quicker.
