I have a buddy with a '97 Mountainaire with dull headlight lenses. Does anyone of you fine folks know what lenses Newmar uses for these(Ford, GM, etc.)? Also, for future reference, I am a Ford L/M service manager if any of you needs a good price on Ford parts.

If the lens is just fogging up some have drilled a small hole in bottom of it. There maybe a stamping on outside of lens cover under the hood to indicate MFG or just call Newmar repair for MFG for that year they may want coach build number.

If you look on the headlight you may find a TYC xx-yyyy. Now, take that number an Google it. You probably will find what make and model of car/truck it fits. The taillights for my 04 Mountain Aire are from a 93-97 Ford Ranger.

The Lens will fog on any vehicle after a few years in the sun. You do not have to replace them. Just go to your local auto parts dealer and ask to a kit to polish the lenses. It costs $20.00. All it is is several small sheets of very fine sand paper and then a polishing cloth with a liquid polish. You keep the headlight lens wet with a spray bottle of water while you sand the surface of the lense and get a milky finish on the lense. You then apply a single coat of this liquid shilac or finish and the headlight looks like new. It comes in a silver pouch and even though it seems like a rip-off it saves you hundreds.
